This is a fabulous, fairly new book. I showed it to 3 of my physicians, and they all copied down the title and author, to purchase it and to recommend it to their patients..Said it was the best book on the subject they had seen. One doctor particularly like the diagrams of the eyes, which a layman could understand.

I found it very helpful in understanding my problem...and was able to understand and ask intelligent questions of the physicians regarding diagnosis and treatments.

Amazon was the only place I could locate this book in a hurry, and used express mail to get it very quickly. I was very satisfied with the whole experience.

I found this book through Google and it is tremendously helpful. Elaine Moore also wrote an excellent book on Graves'disease. This book explains thyroid eye disease in easy to understand language. But it also appeals to those of us who want the real "nitty gritty" details of TED. Ms. Moore also does a fine job of reviewing complementary therapies available for TED sufferers. It's about time someone devoted a book to this frustrating health problem!

I bought this book based on the reviews I read and I must say, having read several books on the topic, this one is by far the best! There is so much detailed information and yet it's easy to understand. Plus, the biggest benefit is that it has made me a more informed patient with respect to discussions and questions I ask my endocrinologist. I'm now an active participant in my treatment vs. a receiver of dispensed information by my doctor. This book covers so many aspects of eye involvement in Graves Disease, such as anatomy of the eye, causes of inflamation, treatment options (surgical and non surgical), overview of the immune system itself, environmental factors, the importance of self-care along with real-life case studies and much more, and at great depth. No other book I found was more thorough and straigtforward. A must read for those suffering from Thyroid Eye Disease. I would highly recommend for anyone with a recent diagnosis of any thyroid-related disorder. My eye disease presented itself six months after my hyperthyroid diagnosis and there is so much you need to know about the various treatment options. This book is sure to make you a well prepared, well informed patient.

Helpful in my understanding.
This book helped me understand what was happening to my eyes. It would have been nice if it was in bigger letters though.
