BEWARE - This Bundle NOT Supported by TiVo Tech Support,

I have this system setup in my house (Tivo HD + Slingbox Solo), though I purchased the units separarely (not part of the bundle). I ran into a Tivo technical issue this week (Tivo would not output any signal on the HDMI output, only on the component output), and called Tivo technical support.
As I described my setup, the technical support rep told me: 1) He had never heard of a Slingbox before and had no idea what it did 2) Tivo technical support would not help me with my Tivo issue unless I completely removed the Slingbox from my setup Even when I asked to have the issue escalated to a Level 2 support person, the response was the same. "We won't support your Tivo box technical issues as long as you have the Slingbox connected as part of the system." Why Tivo would sell a bundle that they refuse to support is incomprehensible ... just beware what you are getting into! |
