5.0 out of 5 stars World Ethno-Grooves
I am so happy this great sounding cd is available once again and is in a digipack format now with great artwork and design elements. So much nicer and softer than the original packaging, truly capturing the essence of the music. I have to admit that this music is still as timeless now as when i first heard it several years ago. Great for yoga and flow!!! I use it in my...

Waterbone is a studio group of two musician-composers D. Kendall Jones and Jimmy Waldo. Tibet begins where Deep Forest left off, inspired this time by life and its sounds in the Himalayas, particularly the ceremonies. The basic style follows similar lines to the recordings of Deep Forest and Enigma - indigenous sounds like gongs, chanting monks, huge horns, flutes and...

Great for yoga and flow!!! I use it in my classes and my students love this style. Remember when Deep Forest first hit all the yoga classes and the impact that music had on the yoga world. Well, Waterbone 'Tibet' has them same feeling and energy. I highly recommend this music!

I came across this record while my boyfriend and i were shopping in venice beach and it jumped out at us as we walked by a shop that was playing it. Great trancey hypnotic world sounding tunes that have grooves and layered voices all throughout this record.Perfect for getting intimate and lying around with my boyfriend on an incense/candle burning day.Highly recommend this record to anyone that loves sensual music with beats.

Wow! This cd has been out of print for sometime now and is available once again. Finally, someone decided to re-release a great record from the group Waterbone.Looks like new packaging has spiced the look of the cd up. The music is timeless and explores musical genres beautifully. For fans of Deep Forest, Enigma and Dead Can Dance this record should be in your collection ALWAYS!! Glad to see this classic record is available again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for Tantra, March 9, 2003

Usually i don't like to put my 2 cents in on a record, but when i heard the first deep groove on this cd i knew it had that sensual appeal i have been looking for, for a long time. I use this cd in my tantric circles and the ebb and flow of this music is altering to say the least.Deep bass lines and funky new age beats make this music a perfect fit for power yoga or anything dealing with the movement of energy.I guess this is a re-release of a classic cd that has been out of print for several years. Looks great and sounds even better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliantly inspiring..., November 19, 2009
This review is from: Tibet (MP3 Download)
I just recently discovered the splendid piece "Snow Palace" on a major radio station in my town, and wondered what took them so long to play these chaps!

Immediately I was transported to another time, another place- ethereal, eternal, and majestic all at the same time.

"Snow Palace" caught my ear from the opening bars, something that 90% of the time gives me the impression that I will most certainly like a piece of music!

And I began moving... doing my tai chi and chi kung that is. When something's that inspirational, I know I've found a jewel.

These songs are all quality sounds, though each of us will have our particular favorites. "Snow Palace" definately ranks as my #1! But just as impressive are ones like "Song for the Mountain", "River of Souls"," and "Eastern Girl".

If you're looking for that music that teleports you "out there" then take hold of this masterpiece right away!

Your spirit will be glad.

Great music. I had purchased this cd years ago and lost it; couldn't find it anywhere but on Amazon. Am very happy with my purchase--the music is so unique, if you like culturally diverse music, you'll love this!

Waterbone is a studio group of two musician-composers D. Kendall Jones and Jimmy Waldo. Tibet begins where Deep Forest left off, inspired this time by life and its sounds in the Himalayas, particularly the ceremonies. The basic style follows similar lines to the recordings of Deep Forest and Enigma - indigenous sounds like gongs, chanting monks, huge horns, flutes and singing children are imbedded in a chunky mix with plenty of overdubs, funky grooves and electronic melodies. You get the picture, a "worldy" album for a commercial market. Very catchy and cleverly put together, but musically superficially beautiful and not well able to be sustained for the full length of the album. Still, Deep Forest and Enigma fans should enjoy.
