Format:Audio CD
With all due respect to her obvious spiritual qualities I've never been a huge fan of Deva Premal's music. Often too sacharine for my taste, and the way she mispronounces these ancient holy sounds have often annoyed me - disrespecting the metre which was so important for the ancient Indian seers and holy men.
But this CD was a very pleasant surprise. The whole project is based on deep respect for the tradition of the Gyotos (who has also worked with Mickey Hart amongst others). The musical accompainment is sparse, discreet and effective, not sugarcoating the powerful mantras at all.
The contrast between Premal's beautiful female voice and the guttural singing of these monks are mesmerizing. The CD as a whole suited for deep healing, meditation, yoga etc

Format:Audio CD
The blend of Deva's voice with those of the Gyuto Monks makes this just one of the most inspired and powerful CDs I will ever hear. I played it first without reading the sleeve and the track which stuck with me first time playing turned out to be appropriate to the issues I have at the moment. I will wear this CD out very quickly. It's not just 'spiritual', it's enjoyable and the proceeds go to a great cause. Buy it.

Format:MP3 Music
This CD is an absolute must for anyone wanting to experience deep healing and peace. I play it every evening before going to sleep and each morning when I first wake up. It immediately brings you into a space of love and purity. The blend of Deva's voice and the Monks is exquisite and the underlying music accompaniment is just right to take you on a journey deep within. The profits from this CD also go to a very worthy cause, so treat yourself (or your friends/family) to a wonderful gift and enjoy.

Amazing
This was my first Deva CD. Many a nights I go to sleep listening to this amazing tranquil, peaceful, music. My dogs love to chill to this as well.

Too modern
I was expecting a traditional chanting album, but this was very modern, almost 'dancy' at times. I didn't enjoy it all that much.....rather disappointing.

Breathless chanting (was it really live?)
Most of each track is her voice and a string or wind instrument. The monks are in the background. The tracks vary, but it is not like hearing just the monks. Read more
