As a reading specialist, I have always enjoyed the message of this story. Tibili doesn't want to start school, and he tries to find the easy way out. He soon discovers there is a real purpose to learning to read, and he changes his mind. Children always enjoy this story and smile when they realize what Tibili will decide. Highly recommended as a read-aloud title for first and second grade students!
