ART WITH HEART...MUSIC WITH A MESSAGE, August 23, 1998

This review is from: Tick (Audio CD)
I have loved marry me jane since I saw the film "If Lucy Fell". The entire soundtrack (and then some) is available on marry me jane's self titled first album. Tick is yet another lyrical masterpice for the band. It deals with subjects as serious as abortion and child abuse, but in a very non-threatening, matter-of-fact way. A powerful cd any way you look at it!

A great album...all it needs is listeners..., July 5, 1998

Marry Me Jane is yet another unheard of group that makes terrific music. Tick has quite a wide variety of music from soft hits like "Might As Well Be Mine" to harder stuff like "Shaking the River." Amanda Kravatt provides solid lead vocals that are not some Sheryl Crow or other main stream female singer rip-off. Her style and sound are unique, and the flavor of the music is different from main stream pop style. This album is an enjoyable music experience, and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys great music.

~Best Companion for Soul Searching~, February 16, 2006

I fell in love with this band due to "If Lucy Fell" as well! The lyrics are so poignant and original that I couldn't help but listen and relate. In addition, Kravat's voice is not unlike fresh, crystal clear water that flows uninhibited into your ears as well as your heart! This is one of those rare albums that you can put in and listen through every track non-stop. Anyone considering purchasing this item should do so immediatly... it is a decision that you will not regret!*****
