5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Collection of The Tick
Even if you do not like comics, you will enjoy this. It tells the tale of a mysterious blue stranger who breaks out of a mental asylum to fight crime. Joined by his sidekick Arthur, the duo face many strange people and adventures in the good fight. Reprinting the orginal series' 1st 6 issues, it's an enjoyable, offbeat experience for both kids and adults.Spoon!

4.0 out of 5 stars Funny, but is it really for young adults?, November 22, 2002

I was given this as a sort of 'gag' gift, since I was a fan of both the cartoon and the brief live action television show. I will say that this 'graphic novel' contains all the sly humor and off-kilter characters that appeared in other mediums. How can you resist that big blue guy and female characters named 'Oedipus'? Also, the whole ninja component was wonderfully satirical, and I loved Paul the Samurai with his 'killer loaf'.

5.0 out of 5 stars Forget the Young Adult category, this is for everyone!, July 29, 1998

This review is from: The Tick: The Naked City (Paperback)
I'm not into the comic book scene, but there's something irresistible about the Tick (and Arthur and the others). There's nothing complex about the Tick, and I think that's what appeals to me. You can just sit back and laugh your butt off. Don't miss the spin-off characters who have their own collections, especially Man-Eating-Cow.

5.0 out of 5 stars Read this and laugh, September 5, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: The Tick: The Naked City (Paperback)
I discovered this book and the TV show by accident and boy am I glad! The pseudo-superheroes that inhabit The City are almost as funny as The Tick himself and tend to hinder more than help matters. You'll love all the word plays and obscure references to pop culture that are rampant. I almost assure you that you won't stop laughing the entire time you're reading. SPOON

5.0 out of 5 stars An ode to a great comic book., March 15, 1997

This review is from: The Tick: The Naked City (Paperback)
This book reminds me of a time when I was a child, growing up infront of the T.V. I remember watching in awe at the superheroes and wishing that some day I would grow up to be just like them. Now, by reading this book, it brings back the memories of my childhood and what happy times they were.
You too can recapture your childhood by reading "The Tick: The Naked City". Live life to the fullest, read the book.

Tick The Nacked City is a good book if you like a little action but you wanna laugh.I thought it was a pretty good comic book but I have read better comics. If you have something sad on your mind this will cheer you up. Tick does stupid but funny things in the comic. This book showed me that not all comic books have to be all action.
