4.0 out of 5 stars Third Season; single episode, April 23, 2001

If you are a fan of the Tick, then this is a good video for you. There are 36 episodes of the Tick all told, though, and this one is in the bottom 25%. Of course, there are only 2 The Tick videos released, this one and The Tick vs. The Idea Men. If you are looking for the other 34 episodes I'd recommend writing Comedy Central and complaining or downloading them from Gnutella.

5.0 out of 5 stars A MUST SEE, September 22, 1999
By A Customer
This is the episode that introduced "Speak", the Tick's furry sidekick. This is also the episode that sent tens of thousands of high school students running across the school yard yelling spoon. This is 30 minutes of harmless entertainment. No cursing, no graphic violence, or useless sex scenes. It is a film that is not only suitable for all ages, but also fun for all ages. The Tick, in general, is the funniest series around and I recommend that one should watch every episode that was aired. Also, if you enjoy the cartoon as much as I did, please email and write Fox televion and ask them to continue the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Tick is comedy genius., June 27, 2002

This review is from: Tick: Tick Vs Arthur [VHS] (VHS Tape)
The Tick came out as a TV show when I was a freshman in high school and I used to watch it with my dad every Saturday morning. We both loved it. The Tick is pure comedy genius, both the comic book and the TV show (probably because Ben Edlund had a hand in creating the TV show). A parody of super-hero comics was long overdue, and The Tick is the perfect parody. This episode has one of my favorite tickisms, "Okay, Mr. Knock-everything-over, that'll be just about enough of that!" It also has the unbeatable tickism where Tick accidentally calls Speak a dog (after learning that he's a rodent) and he is so apolgetic (this probably isn't exactly right) "...you're a big, lovable rodent. And if that's your lifestyle choice it's okay with us."

I will harrass Comedy Central and Fox Network to release all of the episodes on video. I would especially like to see "The Tick vs. The Big Nothing", "The Tick vs. The Tick", "The Tick vs. Dinosaur Neil", "Little Wooden Boy and the Belly of Love" (the one where Arthur meats Carmilla) and the one where he gets "Speak" (The Tick vs. the Amazons, maybe?) We deserve it!

I also loved it in the Chairface Chip'n'dale episode when Chairface is lowering The Tick, Arthur and American maid into a crocodile pit and as it's fading to a commerical you hear Arthur yell, "You jerk!" Hahaha! That was great! Anyway, enough "Tick talk".
