Praise for Ticket to the Limit:
''Randy Cohen is a force of nature who has focused his enormous amount of passion on helping people be there for the things they love. This time it's not a rock concert or a sporting event--it's your life. And this book is your ticket.''
--Roy Spence, chairman and CEO, GSD&M Idea City, coauthor, It's Not What You Sell, It's What You Stand For

''As Mayor, I told people frequently that cities that are more fun are going to do better economically . . . Randy Cohen has figured out how to build a very successful company--and lifestyle--around the same dynamic. We can all learn from him.''
--Will Wynn, former mayor, Austin, Texas

''There are literally no limits to what one can do in life, and Randy Cohen is a walking, talking testimony to that! In Ticket to the Limit Randy shares how you can enjoy life to the max, build lifelong friendships, and enjoy financial success as a bonus.''
--Jack Daly, CEO, Professional Sales Coach, Inc.

''Randy Cohen believes in the principles he advocates and proves it by living them. Ticket to the Limit is far more than a formula, it is the proven formula for creating passion for adventure, being flexible, and accepting responsibility. Cohen tackles the glory of victory and the agony of defeat, and can help you bounce back from both.''
--Tom McEwen, Tampa Tribune

More About the Author

About RANDY COHEN, author of "Ticket to the Limit"

In 1990, after successfully reselling two hundred tickets to the Texas vs Arkansas basketball game, Randy Cohen formed a business plan for a private ticketing agency. The model was based on providing a simpler, hassle-free way for people to acquire tickets to their favorite events.

As CEO, or Chief Energizing Officer, Cohen built TicketCity from selling tickets to local Austin, Texas events to a company known nationally as the source for premium seating to any major event. From its original staff of four employees, TicketCity has grown to a multi-million dollar business, a 10,000 square foot office and more than 35 committed employees. TicketCity's goal remains to provide each and every one of their 100,000 loyal clients service beyond expectations.

TicketCity buys and sells tickets to all major concerts, theatre performances and sporting events worldwide. They specialize in premium seating and tickets for sold-out events, including major events such as the Super Bowl, the Final Four and the Masters.

Cohen is one of the most well-known and successful entrepreneurs in the secondary ticket market. As he continues to work to expand TicketCity's market share, he focuses on acquisitions and developing large ticket deals. He shares his business and life wisdom in the forthcoming book Ticket to the Limit, a personal account of how passion, purpose and performance can enable one to build a company from nothing to amazing and live all their wildest dreams along the way.

An active member of the Young Entrepreneurs Organization (YEO), Cohen is also active within the Austin business community. He has served on the Ethics Board of the Texas Ticket Brokers Association and the Board of Directors for the National Association of Ticket Brokers (NATB). TicketCity was named one of the Fab 50 fastest growing companies six times by Austin Business Journal and was included in the Inc. 5000 list. The company was also named Austin Business Journal's best place to work twice.

Cohen graduated from the University of Texas Business School with a bachelor's in Business Administration and a concentration in marketing. He also graduated from the MIT Birthing of Giants and Gathering of Titons programs. Born in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Cohen lives in Austin, Texas with his three children and two dogs.

Great Read September 7, 2009
Format:Hardcover
Ticket to the Limit is a fun and inspirational book to read. Randy Cohen takes you through an interesting backstage tour of ticket business. He explains how his personal unique philosophy toward life and business has made his company successful. Randy also shows that work and fun can be interchangeable. This book would be interesting to anybody whether you've been working for 30 years or just about to enter the working world.

Awful October 3, 2011
Format:Hardcover|Amazon Verified Purchase
I have no idea how he got good ratings from the other reviews. The only thing I can think of is he had his family and/or friends write a review for this book. Note, Jeffrey COHEN left the first review. This book is absolutely terrible. 150 pages of common sense. He brags an awful lot for such mediocre information. He claims he lost his wife because he was working too much. Now it seems as if he is writing this to get back at her, or prove how successful he is with this business.

Randy has a company Christmas party every year around the holidays. He claims that some of the gifts/give-aways include round trip Southwest Airlines tickets and flat screen tv's. But his employees aren't excited about these gifts. At least not as much as they are about the "Randy Rap" that he does every year for them.

This book is an absolute joke. I am having a garage sale this weekend and thought about selling it for $.25 but honestly I don't want to rip anyone off.

Great double whammy - excellent insider's look at the world of big-time sports and an inspiring story about building your dream life from scratch. Cohen takes you behind the scenes of college and professional sports, and inside the mindset of a guy that it's always a pleasure to do business with. Great insights on the connections between your life and your work.
