5.0 out of 5 stars Ticket to Ride for Two Players
This is an expansion only because it doesn't include the pieces and cards (train cards, not route cards). You could use either the pieces from ticket to ride or ticket to ride: Europe.

Ticket to Ride: Switzerland is the best ticket to ride variant for 2 players. It allows 3, but you might as well play the other ticket to ride games if you have 3 players...

Ticket to Ride: Switzerland is the best ticket to ride variant for 2 players. It allows 3, but you might as well play the other ticket to ride games if you have 3 players. Switzerland is a smaller map and while fun for 2, is a bit limiting for 3. My girlfriend is a ticket to ride addict (Europe is her favorite). We play this when there's just the two of us. Games take about 30 minutes.

This is an awesome game for those familiar with the Ticket to Ride originals (American, European). We switch between the 1910 expansion and this Switzerland variety depending on how many people want to play.

The Switzerland pack includes a beautiful board with exotic city names for those of us that never leave the USA. The destination cards vary in difficulty, but include enough options to make multiple routes interesting. In general, you find paths crossing the country to reach endpoints on the border countries of France, Germany, Austria, and Italy. With only two or three players, nobody gets frozen out of getting to a border country unless one of the players isn't nice.

This Switzerland board has tunnel routes which shift the purpose of the wild cards (at least, that's what we believe the rules dictate). You see, wild cards are used exclusively on the tunnel routes. This can be a bit of a challenge when you need a regular train route, your color train card isn't showing up, and the wild cards don't help you.

The Switzerland version was a nice option for two players (me and her) with enough chase for the big destination cards and critical routes. In the Ticket to Ride USA game, getting big-point destination cards greatly influences who wins. Everyone seems to have "good cards" in the Switzerland game... unless you're that player that really goes after all the cards before others get anywhere near finishing their initial destinations. Oh, when you "pass" on destination cards, the cards are not available to anyone for the rest of the game.

Again, this is an awesome game. If you like USA or European Ticket to Ride games, this is a nice alternative when fewer players want to be at the table or you just want to hear kids mispronounce those European city names.

Before getting this expansion I thought the Europe map was a bit big for 2-3 players. This expands the game to play well with 2-5 players. You must already have one of the original sets to play this board though.

This game is great fun. A bit awkward for the first 10 minutes for new players, but I have found that people from age 10 to 65 have all enjoyed it. I would recommend it highly for every audience.

We own several of the Days of Wonder games because we enjoyed Ticket to Ride so much! Ticket to Ride Switerland keeps the tradition of super addictive games. My wife and I love the Ticket to Ride games. When we are going to play a board game 90% of the time it is from the Ticket to Ride series.

Fantastic addition to an already great game .. my wife being originally from Switzerland, we thought this would be a nice add-on, and it is. The quality of the gameboard is excellent, and the new rules for this board are perfect .. whether it's 2 or more players, this addition is just great ... can't go wrong!

We bought this expansion after purchasing the ticket to ride USA version. There's just a couple more rules, but they aren't too difficult to pick up. We like the variety of destination tickets that are offered. The board is nice like the USA version. Great fun.

I own several of the Ticket to Ride games and they are wonderful. This one is for only three players but you still have as much fun as the other Ticket to Ride games.

I would recommend this game to kids over eight years of age because it takes a little bit of consentration. The quality and durability is wonderful also.

I hope you can enjoy it as much as I do.
