As a fifty-something country blues fan and long-time lover of great 'pop' songs, I try and educate my teenage daughter about the cool music of the past. She does the same with me about what is good today and 'Holiday Parade' are amazing.The melodies, harmonies and arrangements on their 'Tickets and Passports' album are drop-dead gorgeous and the lyrics remind me about what it felt to be twentyish and trying to make sense of the world and relationships. The album hasn't got a duff song on it and most of them could be pop classics, especially the title track which manages to be moving and powerful both lyrically and musically, in an epic sense. Why a major label hasn't signed these guys up is almost beyond belief - they are really that good.

This album is incredible from end to end. The lyrics are clean, well written, catchy and the melodies are upbeat. It's one of those albums you'll play over and over until you're almost sick of it, then pull out a year or 2 later and fall in love with it all over again.

I first saw Holiday Parade during a performance at the University of Dayton and was instantly attracted to their music. I had been awaiting this album for several months and it has not disappointed. From beginning to end, Holiday Parade has produced a quality album that should help them gain a greater presence in the music industry.
