4.0 out of 5 stars More useful than I expected
To be quite honest, I never imagined in a million years that a woman would need a book on how to please a penis. But the cute title of this tome and the reviews piqued my curiosity. Now, I don't claim to be a sex goddess, but when was the last time you met a nineteen-year-old penis that didn't literally jump out of the guy's shorts? Touching it causes it to quiver...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good read, but probably basic
I bought this book in hopes I would get some simple, straightforward advice about how to perform oral sex and touch my boyfriend in pleasing ways. I don't have a whole lot of experience in these areas, and when in doubt, I read. This book certainly gave me the information that I wanted. The instructions were well illustrated, simple to follow, and haven't failed me...

Touching it causes it to quiver. But getting oral with it -- will literally send it to the moon!

Also, in talking with my girlfriends, I can't think of one instance where one of them has ever had a problem going down on a guy successfully. Looking back, I was nervous the first time I did it, as I'm sure most women are! But hey, have you ever met a guy who was shy about telling you exactly what he wanted? Not every guy is the same, I'm sure. But it doesn't take long to understand what get's him off! (Because he normally won't let you stop until he does!)

Granted, this book could be useful for girls who haven't done this before, or older women who are trying to rekindle their relationships. And if you're married to an older guy, it might take a little more coaxing to get the same response from him that was almost reflexive when he was younger. (Luckily, that's a bridge I haven't yet had to cross.)

This book, however, does give a lot of good background information, such as how to get yourself in the mood, and how to sharpen your "pleasure focus." There's a very thorough anatomy lesson, and tips on grooming and seduction. The author also devotes an entire chapter to using your hands - which did improve my own technique somewhat, but still not enough so that I could ever be successful with it. (Maybe penises aren't nearly as responsive as I had thought.)

The book also helps women to address the "gross" factor and overcome any misconceptions (or bad experiences) one may have had in the past. I guess I probably underestimated this as an issue, but the author talks about how the unpleasantness of a prior experience may prevent a woman from expressing her oral love for her man more completely.

Some of the last sections in the book deal with swallowing and deep throating. And the author encourages women to make the decision on their own as to how far they should go. (She breaks one of the topics into three sections: tasting, swallowing, and, of course, gagging. She also gives some suggestions how to accomplish the first - without necessarily having to experience the other two, which many women might find helpful.) She further explains how a man's flavor can vary - and how it can also be enhanced.

In regards to the latter point, she provides a recipe for a "smoothie sweetener" made with strawberries, blueberries, peaches, freshly squeezed orange juice, and bananas. (It sounds `yummy,' doesn't it?) And I don't know where my mind was at, but I thought the author was suggesting that a woman use this concoction - as a base -- to create a sort of mixed drink cocktail! It took me a few more moments to realize that she was intending for the MAN to drink this - BEFORE the love making session begins!

One of the last sections of the book - and the real reason I picked it up - was for the chapter on deep throating. I thought for sure that the author would advise me that my own problem with it was all mental, and that I just needed to relax in order to accept my lover more fully. But her instructions were actually much more practical - since she recommended a new position (lying on one's back with your head out over the edge of the bed) which positions your mouth and throat more in-line - sort of like a lady sword-swallower (but lying down instead of standing). At this higher level of achievement, gagging and controlling one's breathing both become more of an issue. But since I haven't tried to duplicate this - and I probably won't any time soon - I'll just have to take her word for it!

All in all, even though only 10% of this book was stuff I didn't know, I still got a lot out of it. Hopefully you will too!

Okay, this book should have been published in Hardback considering the price I paid but other than that the book is a keeper and 'super fun'.

There is nothing new in this book that you can't get from a dozen other sex educators but what makes this book special is the presentation. I said earlier, 'super fun', and Sadie Allison surely delivers that in this book published by TickleKitty. Where else will you find a cover with an enthusiastic woman and a pickle. I loved some of the chapter titles: He's comming, Slippery Stuff. Anyway, the book is full of facts, techniques, and some common sense advice when it comes to pleasing your man!

The book is broken down into ten chapters, an appendix, and a bonus letter at the end of the book. In 152 pages Sadie Allison covers everything you can do for your man with great caricature illustrations. The greatest message of the book is do it with 'enthusiasm' and I whole heartedly AGREE! If nothing else you'll have fun flipping through the pages and you might even learn a little something fun to do tonight.

girldiver:)

I bought this book in hopes I would get some simple, straightforward advice about how to perform oral sex and touch my boyfriend in pleasing ways. I don't have a whole lot of experience in these areas, and when in doubt, I read. This book certainly gave me the information that I wanted. The instructions were well illustrated, simple to follow, and haven't failed me yet. It's also short and easy to read. At the same time, I give the book 3 stars because, like some of Sadie Allison's other books, the techniques covered in the book are a bit simplistic. If I'd really sat down and thought about it or simply practiced, I probably could have come up with most of the things in this book on my own. If you have a lot of experience, this book probably won't give you much useful information.

5.0 out of 5 stars Male Review: Get This Book, February 24, 2006
This review is from: Tickle His Pickle: Your Hands-On Guide to Penis Pleasing (Paperback)
Its always mausing to be in a supermarket check-out line or in a woman's bathroom and seeing Cosmo's (or whatever mag) How To Please Your Man, or 10 Things He Wants In Bed. The articles in themselves arent too bad, but are often a little innaccurate. I always thought it amusing that the articles were written by women...basically what women think men want.
Having met someone who read this book, I not only recommend this book, it should be required reading after Our Bodies, Ourselves, and Kama Sutra! Hands down it was by far the best pleasure I received! If it's something you want to learn to do or do better, I dont know if there is a better place to start than this book. I havent read it or seen it, I just know that it's instructions are extrememly uh, accurate?

4.0 out of 5 stars good for the Newlyweds, October 30, 2005
This review is from: Tickle His Pickle: Your Hands-On Guide to Penis Pleasing (Paperback)
as I am retired from the Mustang Ranch just outside of Vegas, I could teach a class. all old stuff here, but, then, you have to start somewhere! this is a great start.

if you are young, need some confidence, are just getting married, or really don't know what you are doing - then this book is perfect for you!

written with humor, and nice illustrations. your man can tell you what he would like to try. a good way to get this subject on the table, especially if you are shy.

most girls are taught to not talk about sex, and find it embarrassing to ask her man what it is he'd like done. so, this book is a great way to bring it up.

personally, I loath pickles, so the title is less than appetizing. but, I'll get over it.

buy a few for wedding or shower gifts. I did!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous Felatio!, July 11, 2006
This review is from: Tickle His Pickle: Your Hands-On Guide to Penis Pleasing (Paperback)
I understand why Dr. Sadie Allison is America's Pleasure Coach. This book is hilarious! Great illustrations and tons of information. It answered all the questions I've been too shy to ask like "What if I gag, or What if it smells". I know I'm not the only one who was wondering. It also has some great technique filled chapters, particularly "Giving Great Hand", (my boyfriend loved the pleasure tunnel) "Giving Great Head" (check out the fruit juicer) and "His Back Door And More"(hello galactic finger play). Tickle His Pickle is 150 pages of penis pleasing! My boyfriend continues to thank me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun! Fun! Fun!, March 25, 2007
This review is from: Tickle His Pickle: Your Hands-On Guide to Penis Pleasing (Paperback)
I found this book to be really fun!
This book has fun and flirty illustrations throughout. I found it to be rich with quick tidbits that are called Sadie Sez they are neat to read. This book covers anything you need to know head to toe to please your man! It even has backdoor play and helps your relationship open new erotic doors. It will help with lube choices and fun cute names for different techniques she describes them in full detail and pictures! Tickle His Pickle by Sadie Allison is amazing and will even cover impotence in men and give us (the partner) "help" in deciding how to "help" him through it wink wink nudge nudge. As well as being a nice quick read it is a small book so you can fit in your carry on luggage or purse even a backpack. I would highly recommend this book to every type of couple or non couple. She has a few safe sex ideas thrown about in the book. (As her little friendly reminder). High quality material covered in this book. Tickle His Pickle written by Sadie Allison is not for someone without a funny bone (it will make you giggle at her creative take on the male anatomy)! I bought another copy to give away to my friend! Worth every penny I spent to buy this! Just a little recommendation check out her other books she is a spectacular author! Just type in her name and pow books written by her. Enjoy!
