Going to college will never be the same. It might not be Ivy League, but the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality sounds like a mighty fine place for anyone to take a few classes, let alone achieve a full Doctorate. One wonders what original research remains after thousands of years of practical application by everyone who ever lived, but it sure as hell would be fun finding out.

Such musings are for another day, because here is the latest work by a graduate of the IASHS, Dr Sadie Allison. Called "Tickle my Tush", it's subtitled "Mild-to-Wild Analplay Adventures for Everybooty."

Firstly, let me say that some of my most memorable sex and orgasm highlights stem from the time I spent with a woman who knew her male anatomy. She was fearless (and determined) in figuring out how to get to both of our pleasure centres, both mind-based and body-based. What set her apart from lots of women was her understanding of the prostate, what Dr Sadie cleverly calls "The He-Spot."

Here's the thing: the He-Spot is best accessed via one's anus, a concept loaded with pre-conceptions, stereotypes, misunderstandings and multiple other psycho-anatomical baggage. Indeed, it took me a while to relax into the idea that the ass, in this context, is just an access point, no more, no less. The point is: WOW, the H-Bomb-Quality orgasms left one radioactive for days. You rapidly overcome any reticence when your universe explodes like that.

Then there were her orgasms, which looked and felt similarly thermonuclear. All that from a little bit of self-knowledge anal-wise (and a willing student.)

Secondly, it is unusual how well edited and constructed this book is.

As a podcaster, (The Urban Shooter), I got on the radar of a book publicist for the author that writes on sexuality and self help. I agreed to take a look at the book called "Tickle My Tush" and talked about it on my show. You can hear it here: [...]

Well, this book has nothing to do with firearms, gun rights or technology that we are used to reading or hearing about on The Urban Shooter Podcast or Black Man With A Gun Blog but I liked it. This book, [...] by Dr. Allison was written for heterosexual couples. It is tastefully and playfully written with nice illustrations. It will test your maturity level. It will gauge where you are in your relationship. It's cute and without passing judgment will provide you with some things you may have never considered.

Folks that blog about sex regularly or live a more "adventurous" lifestyle may be bored with this book. I liked it because it took a taboo subject and made it easy to digest.

Dr. Sadie Allison's Book Tickle My Tush Reviewed by Rebecca Savage

Wow! From foreplay to final conclusion, this book will thrill you and make you think anything is possible! I've never been courageous enough to try anal play, but I've thought about it...K lot, and now I'd...consider it, but I'm not promising to 'do' it...yet:) But I do promise one thing: you'll enjoy this read, and you'll learn...a lot...about sex...and about yourself. That's the best part, and Dr. Sadie's goal, I believe:) And what a success she is at reaching her goal, and making me reach mine. Thanks, Dr. Sadie! And to all your future readers: Go for it! Read the book! Learn! Have fun! Don't be afraid! And be happy! Can't lose with that advice:) And you can lose if you read this book! Check it out! And live life to the fullest! No matter what you decide!

If you're just venturing into anal territory, this book takes a non-intimidating look at the ins and outs of anal sex, playing with toys, preparation and becoming comfortable with it all. Dr. Sadie's approach helps to ease you into the subject. The book is short, too, so while it covers the facts it's not too big of a bite.

However, if you're familiar with anal play, toys and the like, you may find it a bit too basic. Plus, Dr. Sadie sometimes uses words and terms to try to make this book friendly but it just sounds immature and child-like. Anyone reading this book who squirms over the word "rectum" might want to analyze herself.

Still, beginners and couples can benefit from this and the stress on safety is something I like to see in any publication about anal sex and some of the position suggestions offer variation for even practiced players.

This time Sadie Allison has added a controversial title to her Tickle Kitty series of sex guides. Tickle my Tush is about anal sex - eek! Not a book to buy Grandmother for Christmas (although I bet Grandmother knows about the subject than she's admitting).
It is adventurous because it a topic that is not often discussed over dinner. Those who know aren't telling, and those who would like to know more have nowhere to find information. Until now. This book is detailed and authoritative, written by someone who knows her subject very well - even intimately well!
And she writes attractively. The book is divided into topics, and further into short, easily-read sections, each with its own heading. It answers all your questions (it certainly answered all of mine), explains the hows and whys, and open windows onto things you have probably never thought of. I can recommend it for anyone who wants to add a little spice and naughtiness to their love-making
