A quite ordinary story about celebrating Ros Hashanah somewhere near New-York at a family palacios delapidating house occupied solely by a delusive old father-Holocaust surviver from Transylvania, turns a drama of him being evicted by a heartless son, and is ushered into a not so well known historic fact of evacuating the most well-healed Jews to Switzerland from Germany-occupied Hungary.

In a case of this family, a miracle of escape appeared after murdering an Old Man's mother who suggested the Jewish uprising against nazis was better deed rather than running away of a few on expense of a non-resistant deportation of the country's Jewish majority to death camps, by a family friend who had arranged this deal with German authorities.

Following a feature, film-makers' interviews are worth to watch.

Three stars for airing this historic fact itself.

A good movie about the reconciliation of a young Jewish man and his ageing father. Based on real events that happened in WWII. It was nice to see Eli Wallach in one of his final roles. Annie Parisse could just stand there and not act and I'd be happy. Whew! What a beautiful woman.
