Gave Up after 4 Units,
By Reader (Houston, TX USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Tide Buzz Ultrasonic Stain Remover (Kitchen)
I've tried 4 different units (3 sent free by the manufacturer after my original purchase). All worked fine at first, but then the sprayer and/or the ultrasound device on the wand stopped working. They were kind enough to give me a full refund after the fourth one failed.

a terrible product,

when this works, it does remove stains. Unfortunately, it will work once or twice, then not at all. I bought one at Wal-Mart, and after two weeks it quit. I sent it back and got a replacement. It failed almost immediately. The soap does not go thru the wand. I do not know what the design problem is, but Black & Decker is not fixing this turkey. Do not buy this under any circumstances. In fact, I should write the Attorney General and complain. It makes you wonder: do the idiots who market this use it?

LOVE this machine!,
By Dan (Buffalo, NY USA) - See all my reviews

We got this as a shower gift, and it got out a set-in makeup stain in about 5 minutes. I was even able to get some spots out of our rug that we'd tried EVERYTHING to remove.
I also used it to get barbecue sauce out of a t-shirt.
In both instances, I could clearly see the stain on the stain-catching pads.
I LOVE this machine and would reccomend it to anyone.

It Worked Once,
This review is from: Tide Buzz Ultrasonic Stain Remover (Kitchen)
I tried it a couple of months ago. I tried to remove an ink stain from the bottom of a shirt pocket -- not a fair test because the SR2000 had to go through two layers of cloth. It got some of the ink onto the catch pad, lightened the stain, and spread it out. So now the stain is lighter and bigger.
Today I tried it again. It's dead in the water! The main unit gets power, but the wand does not. I suspect clogging in either the tube to the wand or the wand itself. I noticed that the fluid, if it is allowed to dry out, forms a crust. Customer service is just messages like, "We value our customers, one of our customer service professionals will join you on the line momentarily." It continues like this for ten minutes, then you are cut off. I am going to send them a certified letter and see if I can get them to honor their warranty. With names like Tide and Black & Decker behind this product, the poor service is amazing. UPDATE: I finally contacted them by phone. (Note: They boast "24/7" customer service, but it's only during normal business hours.) I had to pay them $5, then they sent me a replacement.

A re write of previous rating,
This review is from: Tide Buzz Ultrasonic Stain Remover (Kitchen)
Fair is Fair, as they say, and I had previously given this product a bad rating due to my hearing loss and impatience.
Because I couldn't hear a buzz when I set it to cotton, I assumed I had a unit that was defective. My wife told me to hold it close to my ear. After finally hearing it, I followed the dirctions and removed several bad stains for the most part including ink stains in my shirt pocket. It helped to give the stains a shot of Shout afterwards before washing. Most stains completely disappeared.
As consumers reports suggested,it is just as effective with a white cotton cloth under the stain when applying the electronic wand with solution.
I also found it to be more effective if I did not let the stain dry out and used the wand as soon as possible. In my opinion...with patient application as instructed...this product is definitely worth it's price

JUNK - not worth the money,
By A Customer
This review is from: Tide Buzz Ultrasonic Stain Remover (Kitchen)
This is really a money making machine, it is not for getting stains out of anything.
I spent 20 minutes trying to get a small stain out, it faded a little, I used two of the pads in the process and I still have a stain.
Rather use something else, a little elbow grease perhaps - that would work much better!
SAVE YOUR MONEY.

Two defective machines,

I went through two of these before giving up. It seemed to work well on fresh stains when it worked, but both units quit working in a short period of time.

Works perfectly,
This review is from: Tide Buzz Ultrasonic Stain Remover (Kitchen)
Have had the unit over five years for occasional tough stains and works perfectly. When not in use, I take out the solution bottle, which has a stopper at the end so nothing leaks. When ready to use again, I put in the solution, and hold the tip under water. I scrub any crust off the tip and push the ultrasonic activation. You can see it readily misting the water stream. I then push the solution feed and bingo it begins to feed perfectly. Any clog is gone and I'm in business. As for any stain, don't let it set. Soak it in water for a day or so with stain remover on it or liquid detergent or Oxyclean. Then it is ready to have the stain removed. If you wash clothing in hot water before removing the stain, it will set the protein and make it much harder to remove. Just to prove a point, I did clean a white T shirt that had a set chocolate milk stain on it. The Tide system did remove it, but it took about an hour of work, after I let the stain soak for about a day.

I have had this product for about three years and lust LOVE it. It does all that it is supposed to do and more. It removes grease spots off sweaters with relative ease and will remove spots that nothing else will touch. Thanks B & D for a great product.

Worked, then quit,

This worked well when we first started using it. Tried it again after awhile, and the tube is clogged. Can't fix it - it needs a slotted-screwdriver (not a torx as another comment mentioned). Since the utrasound still works, we'll still use it.
