Excellent detergent with the added touch of Dowmy that guarantees clean wonderful smelling laundry every time.

I sometimes use Tide powder detergent with an "April fresh" scent and Downy softener in it when I can't get my hands on the liquid form of this laundry soap. Tide is far and away superior to the other powder laundry detergents out there. It makes the most soap suds with the least amount of powder added to your wash. I also like the fact that there is some Downy fabric softener in powdered form mixed in with this powdered detergent.

I recommend buying Tide in this size because it is noticeably cheaper by the ounce. It does a great job with anything that can be washed in your clothes washing machine! The "April fresh" scent is pleasant and it will not overpower you. It also dissolves rather quickly so that your clothing is truly residue-free after the wash cycle ends.

A few notes: A full container could be rather heavy so you may not be able to carry a full container too far. Consider this if you have to travel with this heavy box and your dirty laundry to a laundromat. If the full box is too heavy put some of the powder in a plastic bag and carry your powder laundry detergent to the laundromat that way. In addition, this form of Tide does have a scent. If you are allergic to any scents or perfumes try an unscented version of Tide instead.

If you have a clothes washer and dryer machine at home stock up when you get a good value on this!

Overall, Tide is by far the best powdered laundry detergent; and if you can carry this heavy full container or some powder in a bag to the laundromat it is also the best value for your money. This is really important as laundromats and water bills seem to going UP these days! Tide makes a great laundry detergent. Don't waste your money on other detergents that just don't work as effectively.

I love this detergent. I used to use regular Tide until I happened to see this in the store and decided to give it a try. My husband noticed a difference in the clothes and asked me to continue using whatever I just used. It makes them smell nice and adds just a touch of softness. Not as much as if you actually used Downy, but good enough if you don't want to spend the money or deal with the mess that fabric softener can make.

Tide is the best laundry detergent out there. I've been using Tide my entire life (my mom did before I started doing my own laundry). It can handle just about any stain you can put in your clothes if you get it while it's fresh. The only con is you really need measure and not use too much. I have an apartment sized stackable washer and dryer and find that if turn it on and put the detergent in the bottom as it's filling and then add the clothes, I don't get any residue or undissolved clumps. The Downy April Fresh scent is my favorite but is impossible to find in the local discount stores. I highly recommend this.

I love the fragrance of this product. I had a hard time finding it in economical sizes at stores nearby. Its great having it delivered, I never run out or have to search for it.!!

I love this Tide with Downey also. It smells great!!! And washes the clothes good too. I DO NOT LIKE the new 2x liquid detergents that they have came out with to "save plastic". That stuff DOES NOT SUDS up like the old regular liquid bottles did!!!!! So I have moved to the powder verision since it is the same scent & suds WAY BETTER than the 2x liquid. That stuff sucks & does not wash the clothes worth a crap. They are lying when they say it is the same!!!!

I decided to give bulk powder detergent a try.

Pros:
It smells great. It's a great value for the money. Clothes get clean. The box lasts FOREVER.

Cons:
It's messy. Gets all over the floor of your laundry room, and then if it gets wet, hello - accident waiting to happen. Sometimes it clumps on your clothing if it doesn't get wet, or you have too much laundry in your washer.

The plastic scoop breaks a LOT before you get to the bottom of your box.

My opinion? Try the Tide 2x concentrated. Was voted #1 in Consumer Reports for cleaning action and price per load.

it's way too much for me...or it would be good for family of 12 people...
