Tobias is a gem amongst the young wave of SF/F writers. This collection is a lovely representation of his varied storytelling ability as well as a testament to his "ethinic" fiction. Due to his upbringing his stories have a unique flavour that shifts on your tongue but always enriches the tale.

Additionally, this Kindle edition is loving hand crafted with an elegant cover art and a very well laid out Table of Contents. Pick it up and whisked away to New Worlds on the incoming Tide.

This collection of Tobias Buckell's short fiction is a treat. These twenty stories range from airships on foreign worlds to Carribean rituals on Earth. Buckell's interests and stories are so varied that this collection both surprises and delights. Of special note is "Smooth Talking", which is the first thing of Tobias' that I ever read, and got a gasp of delight when I ran across it again!

Tobias Buckell has one of the widest ranging imaginations in the business and the craft to express his visions in this collection of compelling short stories. Some of the best work in the genre is in the short form and this anthology is some of the best. Other reviewers here have already given a story by story breakdown. I'll just add, go out and buy it already. At the current price of $4.99 it's still a bargain.
