I recommend it if you are using a portable oxygen concentrator.

The combined hose was both very heavy and stiff and my mother became exhausted trying to move around with it.

This is a very nifty idea and a lot cheaper than some of our other options.

If you need more than one length of this tubing, it's a big problem. My mother needs about 35 feet of standard hose to reach from her oxygen generator to the rooms of her small, single floor home. This is a real tripping and tangling hazard so I bought 3 of this item to replace the standard hose. The combined hose was both very heavy and stiff and my mother became exhausted trying to move around with it. She gave up after two days and my brother re-attached the standard hose. Since this is a "personal use item," you cannot return it once used. So I was out about $130 with no recourse. They should warn you that using more than one length is not practical. If you need only 15 feet of movement it may work but that was useless for my mother.

I have to use two together to be able to reach throughout my house. The regular tubing got tangled up and put me at risk of tripping on it, so I wanted to find tubing that would stretch and retract as needed. This does to some extent, but it still gets tangled and doesn't fully retract, so there is more tubing on the floor than I had hoped. Although it isn't ideal, it is a dramatic improvement over the regular tubing, and I am thankful to have it. My oxygen concentrator seems to put out a lot of water--if I don't have a rigid plastic catch tube in the tubing, I get water up my nose. So I used the catch tube from my old tubing to connect the two Tidy Tubing Lines. Perhaps that has something to do with the fact that it doesn't coil as much as expected. Also, if a single Tidy Tube is adequate, it is likely that it will work more effectively than the configuration I have. In short, while this solution is not perfect, it is a significant improvement over standard oxygen tubing.

My 83 yo father had about 30-40 feet of oxygen tubing so that he could move through out the first floor of his house. I observed that his feet became tangled when walking. I bought two Tidy Tubing lines and my brother ordered one for a total of 45 feet. However, my father says the tubing is closer to 30 feet, but he loves it. It was simple enough for him to put together. Tidy tubing is the best product out there, it extends when he walks and retracts when he goes back to his recliner. The other option- using a retractable wheel at $399.00, was unappealing

The tidy tubing coil is great to use and so far, has prevented tripping hazards. I purchased two of the tidy tubing coils for my mother-in-law who is on 24/7 oxygen. She was constantly getting tangled up and tripping over the thin oxygen line that she was on. Please keep in mind that although the tidy tubing coil serves the purpose, it has some weight to it!!! It's much heavier than the regular thin oxygen lines. I would only recommend this product to someone that can handle the weight of the tubing as not to burden them with walking, etc., with the extra weight attached to them. (especially if you have to connect two tidy tubing coils together) Presently, my mother-in-law is very pleased with this product and she loves it!!! (there's a clip on the tidy tubing that attaches to your clothes which is very helpful to her)

I use this with my portable oxygen concentrator, and it works great. It does not tangle at all and has a secure clip to fasten it to clothing. I use liquid O2 at home and prefer to use the long trailing tubing with that. The tidy tube IS very expensive, so I hope it holds up as long as the manufacturer claims.

Best oxygen tubing to use when one is running errands.
No dangling tubes to tangle up.
I recommend it if you are using a portable oxygen concentrator.

She use to get so frustrated to the point of yelling at her long silicon tubing because it would trip her up on furniture. Now she is so happy that she can move around freely "less stress" with out getting tripped up by cording.

I bought two of these about 7 months ago, they were twenty-five bucks then, now it says almost forty. Both units have broken at the swivel connector that hooks to the canulla, I'm hoping it can be replaced, but it's not real easy to get apart. We'll see when the ones I just ordered from Amazon come in.
