Very useful!, September 16, 2007
This review is from: Tiedown Value Pack - 10 Plastic (Apparel)
I bought these for my boyfriend, who is not one for tie pins, and his tie can look untidy as a result (not to mention the problem of food and a freely swinging tie). These have been a great help. His tie stays in place, the tiedown stays in place. They're comfortable, reliable and easy to use, and he's thrilled with them. He wears them every day now.

Tie Placement is Key Here, November 18, 2008
This review is from: Tiedown Value Pack - 10 Plastic (Apparel)
This product is such a great idea. The only issue I have with it is the fact that in order for this product to work correctly, you have to make sure the tie tag falls perfectly in the middle between two of your shirt buttons. If the tag is too close to the top or bottom button, this plastic tiedown will either pull your tie too tight at your neck as you move around, or cause your tie to crumple a the mid-section of your shirt when you sit. Tie pins, although a death blow to a good silk tie, usually have a chain that is long enough to allow for this type of tie movement and still keep the tie in place. These plastic tiedowns don't allow for the same amount of latitude. In any case, I continue to use them, as I hate destroying my ties with pins and can't ever seem to keep a clip in place. This item is RECOMMENDED.

Impressive Item!, March 12, 2008
This review is from: Tiedown Value Pack - 10 Plastic (Apparel)
For the cost--I thought--might as well try this gadget--there's no real financial investment, so if it looks or behaves goofy, i'll just toss it in the trash. So, my husband buttons one end of the Tiedown, slides the Tiedown through the necktie's nametag (with the shorter necktie end tucked in also) and buttons the Tiedown at the other end. I would've bet money on the fact that you could see the edges of this 'cheap' tie holder or that the tie just wouldn't lie right.
Well, I was right. The tie crumpled all up and looked goofy--until we moved the Tiedown down one button. Then I had my husband stand up straight, lean forward, lean from side to side......... OMG.... I could not see the Tiedown at all, and the tie was completely well-behaved! We were thrilled with this new gadget! Hubby has worn it for a week--and has not heard one comment from colleagues about the 'unusual' tie holder. Because no one can see it!
I do have one suggestion though--they should be sold in packs of three or five--that way if one gets broken by the kids, chewed up by the dog, or lost by dear hubby, then you'll have extras on hand. So, in the meantime, buy a few when you order! (Now available!! The following value packs!) *** Tiedown Value Pack - 10 Plastic *** Tiedown Value Pack - 5 Plastic *** Tiedown Sample Pack - 3 Plastic, 2, Leather, 1 Great Price ***
This is a product that will eventually be sold in high quality retail shops--get them while they're still so CHEAP, because once the designers get a hold of them, stamp their name on 'em and then crank the price up--you'll think you're buying a slice of gold instead of plastic or leather!! Trust me, I'm stocking up NOW!
Buy 'em. You'll love 'em. Tiedown, the Alternative to Tie Tacks and Tie Bars
(UPDATE March 2008)
********* Hubby has been alternating TWO Tiedowns for over a year now--although we have extras--and these two Tiedowns are still in great shape! We continue to be impressed with the simplicity and efficiency of this product! Kudos *********
