This is quite a confusing puzzle -with lots of little pieces and layers that have to be added on to build the boat. There is no way to keep all the pieces together except when the Ark is built--but then when you want to do the puzzle you have to take it all apart before you begin. My 4 year old grandson who loves puzzles, had some fun with it in the beginning but ran out of steam after a couple of levels had been done. It might work better for older kids.

My little girl was given this as a gift, it's not only educational, but has given her hours of fun as she not only learns the animal names, finds the pairs but also completes the puzzle aspect of the toy, not to mention how her imagination kicks in and she plays make believe with the animals. This toy has been one of the best gifts we've ever received for her.

My 2 1/2 year old just received this as a gift and she is completely enthralled with it. She does like to organize things and loves animals so it's right up her ally. The animals are small, but they are identifiable and it's pretty neat how it all stacks up together and closes up into one compact unit for storage. It even rolls. At this point she does need help getting everything in the right place, so it's not an independent play toy yet. She loves taking it apart and putting it back together and figuring out where all the animals go. I'm impressed with the toy and see why it has won awards. It promotes focus and thought processes that regular flat puzzles probably don't since it requires you to think spatially in order to get the ark pieces in the right order. I think we'll get lots of play out of this one for the next few years!

My 3 year old picked this out for his birthday. He loves it. It is well made. It is basically a 3 dimensional puzzle. I think it is great for fine motor skills - placing the animals in their puzzle spots, learning colors and animals. He does need assistance putting the different ark levels together. My 3 year old daughter loves this toy. She is into small animals and when she saw the ark she had to have it. Once I showed her how each level has a number, she loves taking it apart and putting it back together and it is very easy to assemble. She plays for hours with this toy. I was worried about some of the animals since they seem a little flimsy but we've had it for over a month and they are all in great shape. I highly recommend this toy, hours of fun!

This Noah's Ark stackable by Tier Toys was a lot of fun for my 6 year old grandson. He loved taking it apart and putting back together and playing with all the animals in this set. The construction is very sturdy and offers hours of fun playtime. On nice days, he likes to take it outside and play in the yard with it.

I like that this Noah's ark playset is also a puzzle, and it comes with more animals than most other arks I've looked at, so it was the choice for me. It's not too hard to put together because the different levels are numbered, but finding where each animal is supposed to go is a little more of a challenge. It's definitely not one of those puzzles a toddler or pre-schooler will master too fast and then ignore. My only complaint is that the wheels on the bottom are too stiff and don't roll at all. The ark just slides across the floor instead of actually rolling.
