I love the music of Malo.. The spirit really comes out in their music. I wouldnt miss purchasing this CD

Although i am only a young one i appreciate the music that many people my age and a little older were conceived by, and this collection i believe to be one of the best i own. it is lively and has flavor only found it the classics. This gives you a little taste of it all. The music really makes you want to get up and dance. the rhythems captivate you while your body moves. Latin Legends Live is wonderful, not just for the ones that were listening to these songs while they were growing up, but also for the younger generation to enjoy. Many may think the young ones have no taste for real music with all the stuff coming out in the 90's, but many of us do listen to the classics and this is one that i believe the young and the old can relate to and enjoy.

The greater L.A. area, being especially in touch with the jamming oldies scene, are no strangers to music veterans Tierra, Malo, and El Chicano. Now, availible performing live in one record, comes Latin Legends Live, brought to you by THUMP records, who have long been bringing out the "firme" jams, and this is by far is one of there most memorable. First in the roster is the San Fansisco based Malo, who's latin dance tunes are enfused with such energy one would be hard pressed not to get up and rumba. They end with the classic "Suavecito", a timeless L.A. favorite. Second, and having the shortest session with only 3 tracks, is El Chicano, playing instrumental cuts and topping it off with the phenomenal "Viva Terado". Lastly, and definetly not the least, comes Tierra, who starts off with the jazz hoppin' "Zuit Zoot Boogie" and lacing there performances with renditions of ballads by The Chi-lites, Del-phonics, and Billy Stewart. They then end with there most memorable of songs, "Together". Truely an experience for those whose palette savors music that stands the test of time.

This is one of the best CD's I own. Seeing these three groups in concert a couple of years ago, brought me back to my childhood, thought I was hanging out at the park. Just wish they would tour more in concerts together. If you found this page, buy this CD, you won't regret it.

Always a great CD to listen to, I wish there were more like it.Excellent sound and production.

Recently, while on a trip to San Diego,I had the opportunity to watch a Latin Legends Live show with Malo,El Chicano and Tierra and it was some of the most energetic listening I had done in many years.All 3 bands perform at the peak of their power and choosing highlights would be next to imposible.I suggest you buy this CD,put on your dancing shoes,call your best friends and throw a party.

Tierra, Malo and El Chicano are awesome on this CD. I saw these groups together in concert just recently and was unaware of this CD as soon as they mentioned it I immediately went out and bought it! Definitely the best of "latin oldies"...
