This is the best tool! I received it as a birthday gift, now I'm going to order 10 to give for presents. The length, balance, and leverage on this are perfect. That's not all - makes a great back scratcher too. This is the best garden tool I've ever used.

I purchased this item based on the concept and the reviews. I thinks it's a unique tool. It is a little awkward for me, but I'm sure I'll get used to it with time.

This is the best garden tool you will ever own. I purchased my first one at Kohler Garden Center in Kohler, Wisconsin several years back and then they stopped carrying them. It took me a while to track down again, but am very glad that I was able to find on Amazon. Once you own one, you will want to give one to all of your gardening friends -- they will love you for it. I have given a couple as gifts and they always receive rave reviews. A great price too!

I love this tool. It has made simple planting and cultivating so much easier. I can't imagine why they can only be found by mail order. I have given one to numerous friends and they were all impressed.

I am a serious gardener and have used my Trake for 20 years. It is my only hand tool as nothing digs like it. Almost 2 inches have worn off the trowel end from all the digging and picking out rocks and scratching through whatever is in my way in the ground. It hasn't ever chipped, broken or bent. The rubber hand grip is still intact, a bit shifted, but fine. I had no idea until I saw a new one how much mine had worn down. Even though the one I have still works great I'm concerned I won't find another years down the road so I'm getting another now. If you are a real digger ... treat yourself!

The trake lets you do a little hoeing around weeds before you dig out the offending plants and makes the work go much quicker. I had had one for 10 years and a tine on the hoe broke so I needed a replacement.

Was at a horticultural conference and Prof.Hartman (Va. Tech Hampton Roads Research Station) was using one to bareroot a rootbound tree ball, which the Trake did in no time at all and was easy on the roots. I promptly ordered several from Amazon and handed them out to my crew to use daily for repotting. They work great. Beware ! Do not pound or strike hard surfaces (rocks or hard roots) with them as the aluminum casting of the rake teeth can break. They need to make the teeth stronger or maybe offer a HD model that's for the caveman gardener that attacks everything with repeated blows! I've watched my guys use it like a Shillelagh and my female gardeners use it with finesse. Either way, it's the best garden tool we use at Lake Tree Farm. I particularly like the rounded edges as it doesn't scrape or cut roots as much as other small steel hand rakes do. Lighter to handle too. Being aluminum it never rusts when my crew leave in the field or stuck in wet potting mix! I planted 660 3" Wintercreeper plugs in a clay bank in 4 hours and my back was sore but my hand and wrist were ok, a good indication of good ergonomics. I'm ordering 4 more today!

I have had a trake for several years. This year I ordered 2 to give as Christmas gifts. Don't waste your money on cheap gardening tools that rust, bend &/or break. Invest in a versatile & durable trake.

The Trake has been a treasured gift received by many of my gardening friends. They are surprised and delighted with the results. I first received it as a gift and have kept the gift going.
