This item is different than I expected. The base is made of metal, but then covered with a rubber/plastic type coating to represent bronze. The glass pieces also appear to have some sort of coating on them. It is very pretty when lit...but if you are expecting typical stained glass with a bronze base...you may be disappointed.

The product was purchased for a x-mas gift. The recepient recived the gift and is happy with it. Would have prefered that it a light bulb was included in the package.
