5.0 out of 5 stars Love it!, May 23, 2008
This review is from: Tiffany Evans (Audio CD)
Great album! Tiffany is the best young singer out there. I can't wait for more albums to come! I wish this album had more than 11 tracks. I can listen to it all day! Tiff rules! She did a remake of the song Flying Without Wings that was never released and it was such a nice song. I know it didn't fit in with this album but it should've been released. The song Angels on Earth on this album was very nice too.

5.0 out of 5 stars one to watch, June 3, 2008
This review is from: Tiffany Evans (Audio CD)
with her debut self titled cd.

Tiffany Evans puts out a well done and varied cd. It's been a little while since the Star Search thing happened. You can tell through the cd that she's growing up vocally as the songs are stronger and she has more control over the pitch and style depending on the songs be it r&B (uptempo, slow ballads) or what have you. Tiffany breezes this cd with the skill of an artist several years her senior.

I really look forward to her and her future in the music business. I'm sure in the future she will have more involvement in the writing process and what not. For now though this cd is on point and should do rather well with top 2 singles already making into the Billboard top 100 R&B charts, "Promise Ring" feat. Ciara and I'm Grown feat. Bow Wow.

A few songs of note on the cd are:

"Promise Ring"
"I'm Grown"
"Can't Walk Away"
"Lay Back & Chill" (with a nice flow and style to it)
"Girl Gone Wild" (about a girl that's acting way too wild & crazy)
"About a Boy" (slow song)
"Angel On Earth" (a powerful slow song that really showcases Tiffany's vocals)

With 11 songs this cd isn't too long but more than long to make a very favorable impression. It's worth a buy without question.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Very Good (And Long-Awaited) Album from Miss Evans, May 12, 2008

MizKyGirl (Waukegan, IL, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Tiffany Evans (Audio CD)
After waiting so long, child singer Tiffany Evans comes out with her
self-titled album. The album consists of hip-hop\dance songs and smooth R&B ballads. Tiffany is one extremely talented young lady. I can't believe it took so long for her debut album to come out. (In case you don't know, Tiffany sang on "Star Search" and released a limited-release LP.) Here's my favorite songs from the album.

1.) I'm Grown (w\Bow Wow): Very cool song. I like how Tiffany's sweet vocals blend with the hip-hop movements of the song.
2.) Lay Back & Chill: Cool R&B\hip-hop song that could possibly be a hit. It's smooth with a mixture of hip-hop.
3.) About a Boy: One of a few ballads on Tiffany's album. It's sweet, poppy, and Tiffany sounds great.
4.) Favorite Broken Heart: Great smooth R&B slow jam.

Tiffany Evans is an amazing child singer. I hope you luv the album. You won't be disappointed!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Teenage Singer Who Actually Has a Voice, August 13, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Tiffany Evans (Audio CD)
As crazy as it may seem, a major record label has somehow let a young lady who can actually sing slip out onto the airwaves. In lieu of yet another autotune addict with a limited range and a set list of cookie cutter club songs and radio pop, Columbia has instead seen fit to bless us with an artist who's actually worthy of the term: Tiffany Evans.

To call this girl a prodigy would not be hyperbole or an exaggeration.

My idea of an artist "with a voice" would be someone like Sam Cooke, Maxwell, Whitney Houston, Darlene Love, Roy Orbison, or Usher. Needless to say, I'm not overly impressed with too many of today's young artists, and I'm sometimes left wondering who's gonna carry the torch once Ciara, Ne-Yo, Beyonce, and company begin to to age and the young folks begin to describe them with that infamous phrase, "Yeah, my Mom likes him (or her!)"

I've found my answer. Young Tifanny Evans is the total package. The girl has an amazing soprano voice and sings with a polish and confidence well beyond her years. She's obviously worked hard to hone her instrument, but it's just as obvious that she was blessed with a natural talent. Some of what she's doing on this disc cannot be taught. Again, the term "prodigy" fits her like a glove. The girl is so far beyond most of her contemporaries (the Sean Kingstons, Lady Gagas, T-Pains, and Miley Cyruses of the world) as to be from a higher evolutionary order.

Of course, this is an album aimed at teenagers, and the content reflects the concerns of that audience, but it is very well done, and I'd be willing to wager that this young lady will be in it for the long haul, and we'll get to see her mature as an artist in the same way we once watched Little Stevie Wonder grow into his unfathomable genius.

Get in on the ground floor and start buying this kid's stuff while it's new, so that two decades from now when she's being hailed as a legend and career retrospectives are being released (and most of her "peers" have faded into oblivion or are famous only for their bizarre public antics) you can say, "I liked her way back when!"

5.0 out of 5 stars Great CD!, September 11, 2008
This review is from: Tiffany Evans (Audio CD)
I have been following Tiffany ever since she won Star Search as a young girl. This girl is pure talent. Because of her young age, the CD which is age-appropriate, does not truly reflect just how powerful her vocals are. I have been waiting for her career to take off for years, so when I saw this CD at Walmart, I happily scooped it up. It is a great effort with good variety. My favorite track of all time is "Favorite Broken Heart". That is one heck of a song! I LOVE it! My other favorites are "Promise Ring", "I'm Grown", "Again", "Lay Back and Chill" and "Can't Walk Away". The rest of the CD is very well done. Definitely check it out!

4.0 out of 5 stars haven't listened to her full album, March 18, 2009
This review is from: Tiffany Evans (MP3 Download)
Love her! She's really good, and she's basically the r and b version of lil mama. I loved promise ring, it had great vocals and great beats. Which is something that you rarely hear now a days. I also thought the second single I'm grown was really cool as well. This is a must have for any fan of current pop music!
