This lamp is well worth the money. It looks more expensive than it was. The detail is very pretty and unusual, there are abstract owl faces in the design-I didn't know this when i ordered it, but it's exactly my style so it worked out. Buy this lamp, you will be happy you did.

I had ordered 2 floor lamps like this and needed a third, but couldn't find one anywhere. So I got this table lamp instead. Didn't hurt that it was less than half the price of what lamps were selling for at my local lighting store. I like the curvy design of the shade, that the sides aren't straight. And I prefer the 2 pull chains rather than a twist on-switch. It's well-made and appears more expensive than it was.

Just a word about the colors: my monitor shows that those ribbons that extend from the top to the bottom were amber. Instead, on my lamp they're red. Ugh, I detest red and there's lots of it. Hope I get used to it since I have the same issue with the 2 floor lamps I recently purchased and didn't want to send all 3 items back. (Yes it would have made sense to just get one lamp and see if I liked it before getting more, but I had such a difficult time finding any of them that I jumped on the purchase when I had the chance.) Anyway, if you like red then you won't have the same issues I have with the monitor showing an amber color. The background color is a milk-glass off-white and there are plenty of other colors in it: amber, green, blue and a little purple. It's quite colorful and my husband says they liven up the room, which is admittedly rather plain.

Just thought I share that info to help in your decision making.

This lamp is a nice size and well made, but best of all when you turn it on, the glowing colors are absolutely gorgeous! And the price was reasonable; my friend guessed that it cost three times what I actually paid for it. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.
