5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous Gender Bender Fun!, January 10, 2007

I bought this book because I love gender bender books and movies and I was expecting to be only mildly entertained. But the author really surprised me! Her writing style is wonderfully readable and her characters are believable. Even though she puts them in the situation of changing bodies, their reactions are never unrealistic. Kurt and Tiffany handle being in the body of the opposite sex perfectly and the way they learn about each other by literally getting into each other's skins is touching as well as amusing. Not only that but the sex scenes are hot, hot, HOT--something I didn't expect considering that when the characters make love, they are in the wrong bodies. But Kurt and Tiffany take the opportunity to try new and naughty things while they try out each other's bodies. Another plus for this excellent book.
This is a great book and I highly reccomend it. I read it all in one day because I coudln't put it down.

5.0 out of 5 stars A humorous, touching, and adult spin on a theme, November 4, 2006
By

(REAL NAME)
This novel is billed as "an erotic romance" and is a good blend between the two genres. The characters in "Tiffany Twisted" have a lot more heart and depth to them than the two-dimensional carnally-driven beings that normally populate erotic literature. That is not to say that the story is bereft of blushingly explicit description of the things that adults do with - and to - each other; it touches on a lot of the myths, misconceptions, mystery, and misinformation about why women and men are so different. The underlying message of the book is the optimistic hope that gals and guys will take a moment to understand each other and celebrate those facets that make them individuals rather than bemoan the characteristics of their partner that irk the heck out of them.

If you enjoy adult-themed books, liked those Disney body-swap movies, and wondered what would happen if the movie characters were not both the same gender, this book is for you.

Compared to other Alison Tyler books, "Tiffany Twisted" has tame fetish content, which may or may not be a plus. "Tiffany Twisted" is not a lengthy book, but it is an enjoyable and very adult story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it!, October 12, 2006
Ms Tyler made you feel as if you were really Tiffany inside of Kurt and vice versa, it amazed me how she got into the male mind...how she did that, I'll never know...<g>. It's has a good story with a little bit of spice on the side. I think it's a hit. Check it out!

4.0 out of 5 stars Body switch = sex + fashion, November 30, 2009

I enjoyed reading this book. This is a gender and body switch novel, and is like wading in the shallow end of a pool--easy and not much depth. There is not much of a plot and the book is a straighforward focus on the two main characters and their reactions to a temporary switch of genders (or so they hope). But as an already established couple they help each other and revel in a series of sex scenes with each other. The only character you could describe as an antagonist only makes a brief appearance then is gone, and merely seems a device to lead to a threesome sex scene. In this book, the fashion choices by the two main characters, by and for each other constitute an ongoing subplot, with grooming and hair and makeup also treated as substantive elements in the book. You get the idea--add it to your stack (or file) of books, read it, then move along.

The experience of Tiffany being in a man's body made me see men differently. It was also fun seeing Kurt in a female body. Several thoughts were creative, new and unexpected for me. I normally don't like to hear swearing in real life, but I enjoyed Kurt's swearing in this story. I found it sexy. I also found myself chuckling out loud several times during the book. Sexual content: strong. Setting: current day U.S. Copyright: 2006. Genre: contemporary romance.

but quite good, as always. Ms. Tyler has a way of truly taking you into a character's psyche and she does not disappoint here. A great read!!

3.0 out of 5 stars An Enjoyable, Light Read, April 1, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
TIFFANY TWISTED by Alison Tyler caught and held my attention well; gender-switch stories have always appealed to me. It chronicles what happens after a boyfriend and girlfriend magically switch bodies after the girlfriend, while on vacation in New Orleans, stops in a dimly-light eccentric shop with unusual trinkets and souvenirs and ends up buying a special candle to bring back. Even though spontaneous body-swaps aren't possible, obviously, this is yet another acutely unrealistic premise. I'd like to see gender-switch stories written by authors who have more creativity for this element.

This book is fairly well-written and is definitely entertaining -- and a nice thing about it is, unlike wide-release movies and young adult books about gender switches, it has a large sexual element to it. I rate this book 3 stars out of 5 because in many ways, the story doesn't do anything new with this popular genre, and there is no 'deepness' to the book. Readers "looking for more" may rate it only 2 out of 5; others will easily rate it higher.

Most people will enjoy TIFFANY TWISTED.

3.0 out of 5 stars Easy read simple story, January 5, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I read the book, in my view it wasnt the best book that I ever read but it was an easy one to read for sure. The erotic sections got a bit confusing at times since they had the other's body but was still using their own names and perspective.
This book definitely made me want to read more books by the same author because I can see talent within his words.
I must say that this was the first book in its genere that i read and I enjoyed it and worth the time i spent reading it.

As other reviewers have mentioned, this is a sexy, funny, well written book. Ms Tyler brings real insight into her characters and the situation they face.
