5.0 out of 5 stars ENRICHED COLOR AND TONES, December 7, 2000
By
THE 812 WARMING FILTER IS GREAT FOR ANY PHOTO. IT ENRICHES THE COLOR VALUES, MAKING THEM WARM ANDVIBRANT. IT IS NOT JUST FOR WARMERSKIN TONES. THE 812 WORKS WELL FORALL TYPES OF PHOTOGRAPHY, INCLUDING INDOOR AND OUTDOOR, PORTRAIT AND LANDSCAPE. TIFFEN ALSO MAKES A COMBO FILTER, OF THE 812 AND A CIRCULAR POLARIZER. THE COMBO FILTER GOES A STEP FURTHER IN NOT ONLY ENRICHING THE HUES, BUT IN COMBINING IT WITH THE POLARIZER, THEY HAVE SUCCESSFULLYCREATED A FILTER THAT COMPENSENSATES, DISPERSES, EVENS OUT, AND ENRICHES THE LIGHT WITHOUT DETRACTING FROM THE SUBJECT. THE END RESULT IS A POWERFUL, BRILLIANT SUBJECT ( A GREAT PHOTO OF A MEMORY PRESERVED IN TIME ), IN ALL ITS BRILLANCE.

Brings out wonderful colors. Helped communicate what I saw when I visited Israel during a sunny trip. Best investment I have made for my Olympus e510. Protects lens and enhances photos. Especially brings out great colors in portrait shots of my wife, who has somewhat "pasty" skin. Makes photos look alive.

4.0 out of 5 stars I like this filter!, May 29, 2002

I bought this even though a sales person in photography store said it wouldn't make much of a difference. I actually do see a big difference. It brings out the color so beautifully. I've had people comment on the colors in my photographs before they know I had put this filter on. I keep it on my camera most of the time now.
