I was saving up to buy Oakley sunglasses which are very expensive, when i began to search for alternatives and found Tifosi (pronounced Tee-foh-zee, an Italian word describing a group of sports fans). This brand gives you what you pay for: a set of durable quality optics without all the celebrity endorsements and marketing campaigns that hike up the price. I wore oakley sunglasses 4 years lifeguarding, by which time they were totally worn out (bent and scratched with rubber earpieces falling apart). Using these tifosi sunglasses for a month so far the quality seems at least equal or superior to that of the oakleys. Also, they come included with a free hard zipper case and soft cleaning pouch!

The most important factor for "real" sungless is quality optics with zero image distortion. These polycarbonate (no shatter unlike glass) lenses have perfect optical quality, and 100% UV protection. The website (tifosioptics.com) explains all the technical details. I chose the Envy shape and color to complement my facial structure and skin tone. Consider these factors for yourself when choosing various frame and lens shapes.

I like the interchangeable lenses because I wear GT fototec during the day and swap to clear lenses at night. While easy to replace, the lenses fit snugly into the frame and they have never popped out unintentionally. These have been lifesavers while cycling keeping road debris and flying insects out of my eyes, also for yard work using high speed cutting tools.

I recommend the Tifosi product line to anyone seeking quality sunglasses for a good price.

I wear these for casual wear. They're very comfortable and look great. I love orange and the orange of these glasses is very stylish. I actually love them so much, I bought a second pair so I have a back up.

This is the second pair I've owned. After accidently leaving the first pair on the courts during a rain out - I had to get a new pair. They are great. I love the transition of the lens. I also like the air holes to help prevent fogging and "sweaty eyes". My only complaint is that this pair (for what ever reason) feel snug. Almost too small - and I don't a have big head:) Other than that, they are great!
