4.0 out of 5 stars Very comfy, a personal caveat
These shoes are very, very comfy for wearing around the house or around town.

Not for heavy use though. When I wore them outside I got some rocks lodged in the bottom.

My main disappointment was that I bought them for a historical costume, and the foam rubber is way too obvious looking.

2.0 out of 5 stars copy of the original

If you are looking for the original Japanese zori, this product is not for you. This zori is a product from China or Thailand, meaning poor quality, doesn't fit your feet, wears out in a week and risks your injury by slipping out of the widened/stretched out zori.

Cheaply made-cheaply sold. 1.The shoe bed is extremely narrow. 2.The thong( the thingy that goes into webbing between the big and next toe) is made out of clear plastic of the same material as a drinking straw and chaffs terribly.
Quality zori make the thong of the same velvety material as the straps. Not this product. Avoid.

These are the perfect indoor shoe! With tabi socks they keep my feet warm all winter long, keeping my feet elevated above the cold floor, but allowing the foot to breathe. In summer, they keep my feet cool and the air circulating around them - including on the bottoms, which plastic zori don't.

I wear them in the house ALL of the time, seven days a week (I work at home) and out on the deck. They usually last about 4-5 months before one of the thongs pulls out, but I am rather rough on them. (When one breaks I will start saving the "good" one to match with the next pair that breaks a thong.)

I've bought four pairs over the past 14 months, and I won't wear anything else indoors. Worth every penny!

I bought these sandals as an every day home to the dojo foot wear, they are durable and super soft. They lasted approximately 2 years before I got rid of them, the tatami straw started to crack, but the whole rest of the sandal was still in fair condition. Bought the same sandals again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Zori Sandals - Bring East to West, January 7, 2009
This review is from: Zori (Misc.)
These Zori sandals are much more comfortable than the traditional western flip-flop. They have a breathing, bamboo-like coating over a rubber sole and just feel incredible on your feet. If you like sandals, you'll LOVE the Zori sandals.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not so great, January 28, 2009
This review is from: Zori (Misc.)
The general quality of this product is O.K. and I've no complaints over the material construction, excepting that they don't fit my feet as well as normal flip-flops. The soles are flat and stiff, without give. I feel that even a minimum amount of bend works better with my stride. I'm willing to concede that they may feel better after being broken in, when the flat begins to sink and mold to my heels and toes, but as low traffic house slip-on's, that could be a while. This stiffness is what Zori's essentially are; as a matter of preference, I'll stick to normal flops.

4.0 out of 5 stars well made zori, December 29, 2005
This review is from: Zori (Misc.)
these zori are the real deal. they are nicely made, very strong. fits nice too. but know your size because when you order it online, it only sais extra large, large, medium, small and extra small. (what in the world does that mean?) my only concern is where you will be wearing these zori to.
