This book explains the basics of the I Ching, as well as assorted methods of divination. The main part of the book - interpreting the hexigrams - goes beyond a simple "good things will happen today". Each entry starts with a beautiful image and a short poem, and goes on with a general interpretation, one for men, one for women, the associated moon phase, and the interpretation of each changing line, if any. If you only buy on book on this topic, it should be Tiger and Dragon I Ching. You'll never look at casting coins the same way again.

This book is actually a companion volume for a deck of I Ching cards that was on the market years ago. The illustrations in the book are exact duplications of the cards themselves in all their black and white glory. The translation is not bad and one has the added benefit of a explicitely male AND explicitely female judgment to accompany each of the 64 hexagrams or "gua". Nevertheless, the I Ching is NOT something that can be approached from the graphical standpoint as witnessed by the general lack of success to the some half-dozen "I Ching Decks" on the market. Still, this is not a bad translation of the I Ching and it should be on the shelf of any rabid fan of the Book of Changes.
