5.0 out of 5 stars It's Addictive!
I received this game as a gift, and really couldn't put it down. It plays just like the show, and thankfully, the questions get harder as they go along. In fact, the easy questions aren't exactly easy. I couldn't put it down, the only 'problem' I would say about it is, sometimes it's hard to distinguish a "B" from and "I"...but that's nit-picking. 3.0 out of 5 stars Fun if you can deal with the display
I bought 2 of these games on the assumption that both children would want to play on car trips, etc. My 8 and 11 year-olds found the display so difficult to read that they told me to return the game. I kept one for my own amusement. As an adult, you can deal with the display more easily, because you can anticipate portions of the question. Children need to be able to...

4.0 out of 5 stars VERY FUN! Questions are hard to read..., October 29, 2001

THIS IS A GREAT GAME! GREAT FOR LONG TRIPS,OR EVEN FOR A RAINY DAY. SOMETIMES THE QUESTIONS GET MIXED UP,ONE QUESTION WAS: "LEAVE IT TO BEAVER WAS SET IN WHAT FICTIONAL TOWN?" ANSWER: "GIRL SCOUT COOKIES"!?! AND THE SOUND EFFECTS ON THE GAME ARE NOT TRUE TO THE SHOW,NO DRAMATIC MUSIC DURING QUESTIONS,ALTOUGH SOME PEOPLE ARE PROBABLY GLAD ABOUT THAT! ONE OTHER THING...THE LCD SCREEN IS DIFFICULT TO READ IF YOU ARE NOT DIRECTLY UNDER LIGHT,YOU HAVE TO CHANGE POSTIIONS ALOT TO READ 1THE QUESTIONS,I THINK THEY COULD HAVE IMPROVED THAT...BUT WHEN QUESTIONS REPEAT,TRYING TO FIND THE ADDITIONAL CARTRIDGES FOR THIS GAME...THEY VIRTUALLY ARE NON-EXISTENT! BUT STILL A GREAT GAME ASIDE FROM IT'S FLAWS.

Children need to be able to read each word in the question, and are therefore more easily frustrated by this design flaw.

5.0 out of 5 stars FUN GAME, BUT COULD'VE BEEN BETTER QUALITY, February 4, 2001

I have to say that this is a very fun and educational game. I was a bit disappointed with it's quality. I have 4 other Tiger Hand Held games and have yet to be disappointed, until now. I think Tiger could've done better! My game the on/off button sticks and the LCD screen is very hard to read, especially with a longer question. You have to turn the game to be able to read the questions and answers or be in good lighting. If you are a Millionaire fan and can deal with the small gripes then you will enjoy it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Too few questions, May 29, 2001

It didn't take long on a prolonged road trip to realize that there are not enough questions.

By the second day we were repeating questions. Certainly lost its appeal at that point. ...

I also agree with the observation on the display. As a wearer of trifocals it is really a challenge to read the display and to remember/figure out how to make the game repeat the question and the choices.

I like the game - but would love it if/when they make it a little more "user friendly".

Marty

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun, but not well made, January 5, 2001

This game really is a lot of fun -- and addictive. It's also extremely educational for both children and adults.

However, the game itself is very poorly constructed. The display is quite difficult to read, and the buttons malfunction constantly. Not only do the buttons malfunction, but the game itself as well. It will often show you answers that clearly have nothing at all to do with the question. Once that starts it continues, and you have to constantly re-set the game.

It's a shame that an item with this much fun potential is so poorly designed. It really takes away from the enjoyment.

3.0 out of 5 stars Could Use Some Improvements, December 28, 2000

This game is great to take in the car. Our 8 year old like to read the questions and we all play together. The first few questions are not as easy as they are on TV. The black led screen is hard to read and I find myself holding it at different angles to see it better. With some improvements this could be a great family toy.

4.0 out of 5 stars fun, but hard to read, December 25, 2000

This game would be a lot more fun it the screen were easier to read. Also, some of the questions are worded strangely. Before you have been able to figure out the question, the choices appear. Pressing two buttons allows you to repeat the question, but it takes some of the fun out of the game. I don't think there is much educational value in a collection of unrelated questions, but it is interesting and would be fun it were possible to move faster.

As a big Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and Regis Philbin fan i was so glad that they put out the show on a handheld version so my parents gave it to me for a early Halloween present two years ago. I actually won the million the first week I had it. Now on to the bad news even though the packaging promises cartidges for this game three years have passed and still no cartridges have been made. I've tried everything:ie e/mailing Tiger/Hasbro calling toy stores everywhere and just about everything. I think Tiger/Hasbro rushed this version and other non Millionaire games for the holiday season. This is one of the main Millionaire items I take to Disneyland to practice to play on the new Disneyland attraction of the same name called Play It. This is a good game and a good practice tool that should be taken on any Disneyland and/or Disney World trip Buy it if you can.

This game is a lot of fun! The only thing I would change about it, is to make it easier to read. You have to hold it just so to be able to read it. Other than that, if you're a fan of this game, you have to buy this hand held version! This is an awesome deal. I hope they do come out with some new cartridges!!
