This review is from: Tigerbone Wine (Poems) (Hardcover)
Hilary Tham is a marvelous storyteller, drawing on her rich life history and experience of many cultures to produce poems which are humane, absorbing, and wise. Particularly recommended are the poems starring her alter ego, Mrs. Wei, and "Ida," a moving and funny paean to grandmothers everyone who show their love for their families "with a plenitude of food." Buy this book, or any of Hilary Tham's books, and you'll come to think of her as a beloved friend.
