An excellent book,just what I was looking for,it focuses on images of Tiger tanks in frontline action,great if you are looking for photos,just dont expect a lot of words to go along with them.

If you like armor, this is great stuff. Jentz is probably the foremost authority on the Tiger, and he shows it again here. It's mostly pictures, large format, but what pictures they are! Clearly captioned, they provide endless entertainment for the armor nut and the modeler.

Truely a photo essay of Tigers that all AFV modeller's will find something to add to their projects. There are hundreds of beautifully taken photos that had never seen anywhere before. If you are looking for detailed written info about the Tiger tanks then this is not the book for you. All the photos have some short explanations beside them. A must have for the WWII collector and the modeller. Top quality book.

Fantastic book for the military modeler. Tigers up close and personal, and on all fronts. Lots and lots of photos for you to use in your research and to finish off your Tiger Tank archives. I think this is the 8th book dedicated to the Tiger in my library. Great addition.

This book is a great photoessay of the WW2 German Tiger 1 tank. I have never seen these photos elsewhere, and they are a fantastic resource for the modeller whom is looking for details, as well as anyone looking to gain a better visual insight into that portion of history.

There is little text, only in the form of photo captions.

This is a very enjoyable glimpse of the Tiger tank as it existed for a brief period on the stage of world history!

This is a picture essay more than anything else, but a very well done one. The photos are clear and most show very interesting operational situations. The ones of the crew of a King Tiger painting camouflage are great.There are some truly nice showing combat damage. The captions are clear and precise. For the military modeler like me is a good reference. Not a must, but a good buy. Recommended.

If you're into German armor or Tiger tanks, this one's pretty much a standard. The price is right and the quality of the book's quite good. It's not an end-all volume, but it does cover a lot of ground well and typical of Schiffer books, the quality is hard to beat.

Jentz is one of the finest armor researchers and historians around and this book is a photo supplement to his other Tiger publications. Many of the photos have also appeared in other authors works. There's not a whole lot new but it's convenient to have all these Tiger I and Tiger II photos in one place. The images could have been better reproduced to improve brightness/contrast balance and reduce some of the grain without detracting from the accuracy and integrity of the image. The captions are minimal and the reader who is already a Tiger fan with some knowledge and a reference library on this subject will be able to best interpret and appreciate the informational value of these pictures.
