Book Description

June 1999
Zoo-keeper Kelly Kerrigan must find Kenga and Rama, the two adolescent white Bengal tigers who escaped during Hurricane Chelsea, the worst hurricane in recorded history.

Florida Fresh Fish and Wild Game Commissioner Lieutenant Nick Bradley vows to protect the public safety from the tigers, even if it means killing the tigers Kelly raised from cubs. Nick and Kelly become unlikely partners in their similar, yet opposite, missions, both wary of the other and everyone they meet. To Nick's chagrin, red-headed Kelly is a trouble magnet. Their hazardous trek turns into an exciting odyssey that leads them through devastated Miami, into the Florida Everglades - and into the arms of love.

Editorial Reviews

Review

"Tigers Play Too Rough is a rip-roaring ride through Miami. . .Elaine Hopper has fashioned an original heroine to tame her game warden hero with a past that claws at his happiness even as he falls in love with the spunky zoo-keeper. Tension a-plenty and lots of fast and furious flirting make this a romantic adventure filled with danger and heroism." -- Tracy Dunham, author of On The Terror Trail

"Tigers Play Too Rough is an innovative and compelling debut novel by Elaine Hopper. It starts with a bang and never lets up. Ms. Hopper is a fresh new voice in Romance." -- Deb Stover, author of Another Dawn

4.0 out of 5 stars Tigers Play Too Rough, April 29, 2000
This review is from: Tigers Play Too Rough (Diskette)
Hurricane Chelsea ravages southern Florida where Kelly and Nick are caught in its aftermath. From downed power lines of the residential areas, to the jungles of the evergaldes, they search for Kelly's two white Bengal Tigers, she's trained and raised from cubs. But each is searching for different reasons. Kelly is afraid the tigers may be injured and wants to save them from the gun-happy population--especially poachers. But Nick wants to save the population from wild dangerous animals. No matter how much Kelly says they're harmless, he knows differently.

A fast paced, edge of your seat read that refuses to be put down until the last page is turned.
