Product Description

When Kelsey Hayes sacrificed her own happiness to give her first love, Ren, a shot at a better life, she struggled to recover from the pain of her loss. The American girl and the handsome Indian prince made an unlikely couple, drawn together when Kelsey helped Ren break a centuries-old curse that doomed him to spend eternity in the guise of a white tiger. Ultimately, Kelsey chose to return to America, leaving Ren behind in India and immersing herself in the life of a typical college freshman. At school, she meets Li, a completely average guy who offers her an ordinary, curse-free life. But just when Kelsey believes she’s ready to move on, her past returns to draw her back into a whirlwind of danger—and love. The sweeping saga of tender romance and suspenseful adventure begun in Tiger’s Curse continues in Tiger’s Quest, the second installment of Colleen Houck’s engrossing young-adult series. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just keeps getting better..., November 28, 2009

I thought the 2nd book in Colleen's Houck's series was better than the first. I liked how she took a step back and allowed us to get to know Ren better and watch Kelsey's and his relationship really grow. At the same time, I liked how the story turned and I found myself cheering for others to succeed as the book progressed. The book is a mixture of adventure, love story, comedy, and magic all rolled into one. Colleen has made learning about India and mythology fun as it relates to her story. I can hardly wait until book 3 so I can see what becomes of the characters that I've come to know and love.

5.0 out of 5 stars The saga continues, November 23, 2009

Tiger's Quest

Ah! And so it continues. With this sequential series, it was difficult to wait just the few days I had to between Tiger's Curse and Tiger's Quest. I didn't buy them together. These are not episodic therefore it is necessary to read them in order.

We got to know the characters in the first book and now we see them on the next step to break the curse. The first part is funny as Kelsey starts school and gets to know her fellow students and tries to date. As we know from the first book, she loves Ren but is away from him for now. I really liked the different dates she tried. I think everyone can relate who has tried dating. This book includes more laughter than the first.

Then a plot twist! These are so unexpected sometimes. How the author creates the situations and events is wonderful. The descriptions of the fight sequences makes it possible to visualize them for yourself.

As one of the main characters is unavailable, we see an emotional development between a new character and all the conflicting feelings the main character is expressing is so easy to feel yourself as you read. The adventures she has to experience to conquer the next portion of the curse are overwhelming. I cried and laughed a lot while enjoying this book.

The same as its predecessor - adventure, danger, excitement, romance, good guys, bad guys, true love, strong hate, magic. It has it all!

The information that is described about Tibet and its splendor was inspiring. I have done some extra research about several subjects because of things that were explained in this book made me curious.

Just a warning: this book has a very unexpected ending. I am very anxious for the next book to see what will transpire with these characters I have come to love.

5.0 out of 5 stars BETTER THAN TWILIGHT!!, December 10, 2009

While I was excited to start this book, it turned out to be so much better than I expected! I had a hard time putting it down and my college age daughter read it in one day! There are funny incidents that many of us can relate to and much more of a fantasy element than in book one. As I got to know Kishan better, it was hard not to draw parallels between the brothers and Jacob and Edward in Twilight. While the story is very different, for us Twilight fans, it gives us something new with the same romance and suspense....but with more action, mystery and a little education. Houck has clearly done a lot of research for her books and you can't help but absorb and appreciate it. I actually find myself enjoying this series more than Twilight and I hope book 3 comes out soon... especially after the surprise ending! Warning: Don't read it without reading book 1 first.
