Keep Trying Disney,

My kids love Pooh and Tigger and I love the freedom from the Punch, Kill, Destroy.... BUT someone wasn't thinking when they made a video game for 2-4 year olds that requires the reading of subtitles to understand the game completely. I think the game is a great idea but next time Disney should have the moms of the age group and the age group themselves give some input before they produce it... Keep trying Disney...However they did succeed with the Tarzan video game where one of the characters verbally explains game tips.

I rented this game for my 4 year-old, and he literally spent hours playing it. At first he wanted to watch me play, but then he just went to town and got through about three levels. The "Pooh sticks bridge" game and "Rock, Paper, Stone were a big hit with him too. I definitely need to buy this one! Tigger is absolutely adorable!

Okay, okay, maybe a reason I'm giving Tigger's Honey Hunt a rave review could be because I have always been a big fan of the Winnie the Pooh books, movies and the television series. So when I noticed there was a Winnie the Pooh themed game, I was very excited. And even though I was thirteen when I first played it, I had a very good time. Tigger's Honey Hunt is a 3D platformer, and even though it's fairly easy, I could see why a preschooler could have a tough time with it.
The storyline for this game is simple, Winnie the Pooh wants to throw a party but he needs more honey. So he asks Tigger if he can find more honey so he can successfully throw the party. Tigger's Honey Hunt is very easy to complete if you don't try to collect all the honey pots and photos, but if you try to get 100% it will be more enjoyable and you'll feel like you're money was well spent. There are six levels to explore in the 100 acre woods and in each level a maximum of a hundred honey pots to collect. There are also photos to collect and when you collect a photo it can be seen in your "photo album" on the main menu. And there are also three multiplayer mini games in between the levels, "Rabbit Says", "Pooh Sticks" and "Owl, Paper Scissors." But you can't get all the honey pots and photos instantly, you need to unlock special bounces and beat time limits to finish Tigger's Honey Hunt completely, so there is good replay value. The graphics are wonderful as well, there is a nice contrast in colors and there are some nice little affects sprinkled in to make it very enjoyable for young kids. But is Tigger's Honey Hunt without any problems? No, when I completed the game and collected all the photos not all of them appeared in the photo album, and when I researched this problem online I found out I wasn't the only one. And there are no voice over's for each character during the cut scenes, these scenes only include subtitles and what kid would want to read subtitles? I didn't mind but I definitely understand why others do. So which version of this game is of the best value, the Nintendo 64's, or the PlayStation's? I would recommend a copy for the PlayStation if you want to hear the character's voices instead or just reading subtitles, because the N64's version only includes subtitles. But if you put these minor issues aside, Tigger's Honey Hunt is a fabulous game which can be enjoyed by many. So as Tigger would say, "TTFN, Ta, ta for now."

I rented this game for my 4 year old son. At first he wanted to watch me play, and then he went to town and got through about three levels. This is the first time he has actually played a game like this without just watching. The "Pooh Sticks Bridge" and "Paper, scissors, stone" games on it are fun too and easy to understand. Tigger is absolutely adorable!

Fine for small preschoolers but much too easy for my 5 year old. He breezed through it in about 5 hrs. He is not a video game fanatic so it was surprising. After playing again with him, it is very, very easy. Once again, great starter game for very young but that's it. ...

It was a disappointment - the words that the characters were supposedly speaking, we could only read...their mouths were moving but no sound (except for the usual "Ta-Ta for now!"). We would have it enjoyed the game so much more...

Got this game for my 3 and 5 yr old to play on the N64. All the other games were just so challenging for them, so I got this in hopes of them being able to actually play and not just tell you everything that they want to do. It's not to bad except for the fact that it's not a story like game that plays out, which I thought that it would be that way like the other pooh type games from disney. Not only that but the little ones played it for a few days when it was new and went back to the more challenging games instead. This game actually is one of their last choices. It's really just not very engaging for them. It would probably have been better to have bought one of the elmo games where they would at least be learning numbers or ABC's vs just wasting away their time.
