Cute Bag, Bad Zipper, October 10, 2010
I bought this bag in black 2 months ago. It is cute and surprisingly roomy, and I absolutely LOVE the outside zipped compartment that has credit card slots and is roomy enough to hold cash and receipts - no more wallet to deal with! However --- the nylon zipper on this front compartment does not stay closed when zipped. After about 1 month of use it just started separating after I would zip it up and I didn't have it overstuffed. If I rezip it about 6 times it will recatch, but that is a hassle, and then it doesn't always stay. Also, the silk lining gets stuck in the zipper as well. There is a little zipper compartment within this front compartment also and it is pointless as to what it can be used for, plus the zipper tab from that gets in the way of zipping this front compartment as well. The strap has just the right drop, the size of the bag is not too big, not too small. Basically, this could be a great little crossbody bag, if they would get rid of the design flaws and also put in a durable zipper. I think the smallish crossbody bags are going to become extremely popular because they are hands-free, and you will not miss having to keep hiking your old shoulder bag up all the time, or having one strap keep dropping, or lugging around a huge bag on your arm. Plus, not having to use a wallet saves on that expense as well. I love these little bags, and will try another brand.
