I thought this stand had possibilities by its product description and from its mostly positive reviews. I have subsequently learned to be more skeptical of both. As it turns out, I do agree with one reviewer who commented that the item was over-priced for what it is: a hard plastic cut-out that, while compact when folded, is limited by its minimal folding angles. Because of the hard plastic material, repeated use of one's iPod Touch (in my instance) could subject the unit to scratching unless it is in its own protective case. If you like to use your Touch for watching movies without draining the battery, the Tiko accommodates horizontal viewing while plugged into the unit's charger and allows the use of headphones. If used in the vertical position you are out of luck. It does not elevate the unit to accommodate a charger or earphone plug-in. The reviewer I cited also has a valid point about the limited viewing angles. I believe the furthest back the Tiko leans is about 60 degrees, too upright while trying to view the Touch close-up while seated at a table. For me, the stand that has everything going for it is the Podium. While the price is considerably more, the Podium elevates the Touch, gives it virtually unlimited viewing angles, is heavier and has protective coatings that will not mar your unit's body. Oh, and it's sharp looking as well. It is not a travel stand, however.

It's a simple product that does what it says it will do. Made of a good quality, lightweight plastic that folds flat for travel. The back support arm has notches that allow for a large variety of viewing angles. This product is so useful that I have taken to carrying it with me to prop up my Kindle while reading away from home. So delighted with it that I purchased a second one for my wife. Especially when compared to other products which are far bulkier and costly this is a treasure.

I help my iPhone for almost an hour to watch a video on a recent trip. After hitting the Apple store and finding out that nothing was available to help me I was about to make a stand out of aluminum for my iPhone. I found this on Amazon and the problem was solved. It packs flat and slips out of the way in a carry on bag.
When I needed it, it pops up and holds my iPhone at the perfect (adjustable) angle for easy viewing. Could not be a better design- thanks!

As an early adopter, I began watching movies on the first generation iPod that displayed video - tiny screen and all. When the iPhone was released, I stood in line to obtain one of the first units and my movie watching increased. At lunch every day I would fiddle with the salt & pepper shakers and other objects on the table to prop the iPhone into a good viewing position. I then saw a podcast on the Tiko folding stand and immediately ordered one. It's compact, rugged, folds flat and works perfectly with the iPhone in either the vertical or horizontal position. Problem solved!! Then I purchased an iPad and the issue with the salt & pepper shakers and other objects returned. I wrote to Tiko and asked if they had a similar product for the iPad which they did not at the time. However, a kind gentleman named Brad at Tiko Products suggested I try using the iPod stand in landscape mode. After slapping myself on the forehead and asking "why didn't I think of that", I discovered it works perfectly with the iPad. This is a brilliantly designed product that I use every single day and couldn't be more pleased.

This little folding stand is a great idea for the Kindle and the iPhone. It folds completely flat to stash in your pocket or easily inside a Kindle case with a pocket. I currently stash mine in the sleeve I have for my Kindle 3. Nothing beats hands free reading. A nice little companion to Kindle and smaller gadgets.

It's an inexpensive, simple design that meets my needs. I don't forsee a problem with the areas that "bend" to set it up. It just works and doesn't command the premium price of similar items that are trying to cash in on the Apple brand.

I bought this for my 64GB Touch. Easy to take and use. My only thought is how well will the plastic hold up with the bending when used with its molded joints at the pivot points. Time will tell!

Believe it or not, this stand will even hold up an Amazon Kindle (1st ed) in the portrait position; very stable, too. I load instructional books or guides into my Kindle, iPhone, or Touch, put the device on the stand beside my computer and then I can see my "instructions" while I navigate on my computer. No more reference books to try to hold down while trying to follow along on the computer. Great combination! Has rubber feet to keep stand from sliding. Folds down easily for travel. Perfect in every way for what I needed. And really great service by DBROTH!! Thank you DBROTH!!

I've got a black one, and I love it! It weighs nothing and it fits nicely into a small pocket in my laptop bag, backpack or even my small purse! And it works great. No more propping up my phone to try to view the screen. It's a nice solution and to me, is worth the $12. I wish I had bought a couple of more to get the free shipping, as it's a great inexpensive gift for friends and family.

It is a simple idea, but talk about a must have! I just bought a new Blackberry Storm and I really needed something like this for the plane. It weighs next to nothing and I just throw it in my briefcase and set it up on the tray table so I can watch videos. I bought three of them to avoid the Amazon shipping charges and gave two of them away as gifts. I use it on my desk at work too - Tiko now serves as the home for my Storm. Very cool.
