Pastor Troy has long been a staple in Atlanta music. Ever since he dropped 'No More Play In GA', he has been dropping dirty south classic verses and albums. Pastor Troy has forever repped his crew DSGB ( Down South Georgia Boyz ) and they finally get to show what they are made of on their first national release.
The first surprise on the album is the first song 'Sittin On Thangs'. Normally you would expect anything associated with Pastor Troy to start off pretty hype. Not the case here. Sittin on Thangs is a straight up playa ridin track...kinda just chillin on the track. This type track continues on Them Devils Trying (which actually has some revving engines in the beat) and the chorus is a headnodder. Not the tempo you would expect this album to have but nonetheless an extremely welcome pace. But the album quickly turns violent on the best song on the album 'Im Outside Ho'. The beat is extremely, undeniably crunkdafied to the fullest and the chorus lets folks know that he ready for whatever. The title track and single "DSGB" typefies the Atlanta/Southern club scene with a great chant and beat. Troy then mellows it out on 'On My Block' with a ridin track perfect for cruisin on the block. Other great songs include 'Make Em Get That Money', Off In Dis Game, and the David Banner production 'Bust His Head'. Troy then ends the album off with 'Sam Diss' where he murders Hitman Sammy Sam (of Stepdaddy fame). Perfect way to end the album.
DSGB drops a surprisingly deep album with more than one dimension. Each member of the group holds his own in the setting (none of them are plain out wack) but it's no doubt Troy is the star. The beats are excellent and the melodies and choruses are right. If you down with the Southern Twang then this album is a musthave. 4.5 stars.

This is for the guy that made the bad review. For one thing Pastor Troy aint fallin off. You just aint ready for what he is spittin or u probably like country music. But anyway the new D.S.G.B. album is one of the hottest cd's out there. This cd has songs that set certian moods for you. If you are in a laid back mood listen to "them devils tryin to kill me".If u wanna get crunk listen to "I'm outside ho" or "D.S.G.B.", but dont get me wrong the whole cd is tight. If you purchase this cd listen to this cut it's my favorite "Make Em get that money right" the new strippers anthem. lol 1

First of all, music fan, how can you actually suggest that this cd is a piece of trash. And secondly, learn some grammar and how to spell bro. Back to the point of this cd; this cd is a masterpiece. Pastor Troy has always been great, but with the addition of the rest of DSGB the cd comes together to be awesome. I suggest you buy this cd, dirty south fan or not, grab the cd.

WOW! This CD ist the best album I've heard for years! I don't remember the time, that a rap-cd was so good! Every song is a classic, especially 'Make Em Get That Money Right' - the best Rapsong I've ever heard!
Go and buy this Album - DON'T DOWNLOAD
