I just saw Michel in concert here in Amsterdam on the 5th of October,and what a fantastic show it was,it was the first time in i believe 10 years Michael was in Holland,i always wanted to see him live and and bought my tickets the first dat they went on sale,and it was money well spend. All the classic bolton Hits and covers of legendary soul songs were there,so after the show i got this cd at the fan product stand,only a shame he did not sing any of the new songs on it because there are true Bolton gemms,especialy the song "Courage In Your Eyes" wich opens with a soundbite from a speech by Dr. Martin Luther King,this song brought tears to my eyes knowing he's singing about a wonderfull man ,a beautiful tribute to Dr King.
The live recordings are a great ,especialy if you saw one of his shows on his current world tour. I never heard his album "My Secret passion" but was amazed by the live recording of "Nesun dorma" a wonderfull performance by Michael,also the disney song "Go the distance" is a wonderfull live performance. and the interaction in the instrumental part of the Nesun Dorma with his audience is very funny. If you are not or never were a Bolton fan i have one tip for you "Go see him live" he is one of those few artists who sounds even better live than on a studio recording,"Great cd ,get it now"

With seven new studio tracks as well as twelve live tracks Sir Michael Bolton has arrived back in action ready to once again takeover the airwaves as well as the world.

Whether you love his music or dislike it...

Here he is once again, and it's about time.

Highlights are: "I'm Alive", "Til The End Of Forever" "Time, Love & Tenderness" and "Steel Bars" even though every containment on the entire round circular disc of plastic is beyond worthy of purchase.

The only disadvantage of this release is that the extravagant "Georgia On My Mind" was not included.

Otherwise 5/5. Time to buy. [...]

I'll try to write my review in the best English I can: as always Mr Bolton makes his beautiful voice sound great in many different styles: rock,pop,opera, R&B, etc.
His high quality produced music always includes a POSITIVE message that can touch people's lives easily and about the new songs...some of them are now my favorite Bolton ones.
In my opinion, if you want to begin with Michael's music you can listen to his albums "Soul provider", "Time,love and tenderness" and "The hunger". The cd called "The essential" (also called "The ultimate collection") is his most complete and best compilation I have found. My favorite Bolton is the Adult Oriented Rock one, but of course this is very personal,to me this is a very special music.
And last but not least...about some foolish "negative reviews" I have read, please,I understand that it is a natural thing that some of you may not like this music, but you have to respect the artists and respect people that respect the other people (if you do it that will become a true sign of your freedom), I am sorry I have to say that I am wondering what is there inside some people's heads (...), thank you.

A live album was anxiously expected for his fans all around the world and he hasn't dissapointed us.

The first six new studio songs are very inspiring. Specially: "I'm Alive", "Til The End Of Forever" and the wonderful "Next Lifetime" do really touch listener deeply. And the first time you listen to them, you get all their message. Then he gifts us a "reggae" version of one of his favourite hits of all his career: "Said I Loved You... But I Lied".
However, Bolton really shines with all his strengh on the second part of the album, with live performances. All of them, from beginning to end, are simply amazing. His voice sounds better than ever, if possible, and the songs are well chosen, including them all would have been impossible.
Totaly recommended.

I'm not an avid Michael Bolton fan, but this is a great CD. Especially touching is his song "The Courage In Your Eyes". (Which he also wrote). His style is certainly different, his voice raw, but he does have talent. John T, may have been "around" the music business for years, but you don't have an ear for real talent. Justin, I would have appreciated an intelligent critical review, not just nonsense. I would recomend this CD to anyone wanting to hear blusy music with real soul.

I really feel for this dude because it seems everyone makes fun of him before they even listen to him. He has a great voice, able to hit extremely high notes with ease. He has catchy songs and it's cool if you like this. It's probably not something I'd keep in my CD collection near the front, but if I need an escape from crappy radio music these days, I'll give this dude a spin.

This CD is no different than any of his others....Which is TOTALLY AWESOME!!! His new songs are really beautiful. My favorite is: The Courage in Your Eyes, Hear Me, Til the End of Forever, I'm Alive, Still the Love of my Life, & Next Life Time. Hmmm....that's all of them!! It's great to hear all of his previously recordings live! He has such a wonderful and awesome voice, which still does sounds GREAT! His band is also AWESOME!!!! WAY TO GO MICHAEL & BAND!!! Thanks again for another success!!

I love this album. I have been hooked on Michael's music since "The Hunger" (which is also a great album) and I'm just happy he stuck to the tried and true Michael Bolton style with this album.

Bob Something is a very tough critic to impress. And Michael has impressing me for 18 years. This, I have to say, is definitely one of his best. And that's saying something. 5 stars, and I'd give it 10/10. Buy it. It's worth the money if you're a Bolthead.

Where to begin...the pure raw energy that the Michael Bolton can muster up with his stage presence is something that rattles the very soul of the nursing home. I put this CD on to rile me up and I'm off.

Michael's voice just keeps getting better, as proven on his new CD Til The End of Forever. How do you pick one song over the other. I'm Alive, Til The End of Forever Next Lifetime. As I said how do you pick one song over the other, you can't. I think the one of the things about Michael, is that he's unique, something that no other artist can do or imitate. These are songs that no other artist could sing but Michael, plus the songwriting ability is awesome. Way to go Michael!!
