5.0 out of 5 stars Makes you wish soulmates had roadmaps to one another, October 11, 2005
This review is from: 'Til There Was You (DVD)
This is a sweet film about "missed chances" and "lost moments" and ponders the question if the one you were meant to be with was right in front of you or just down the street. Years of near misses, cusps of time, and lost opportunities build until Gwen and Nick meet. The time leading up to their final meeting is hilarious and you just want him or her to make the right turn so they see each other for once!

Two girlfriends of mine married men who they had been missing for years at parties, mutual events, coffee shops, you name it! They were often in the same place at the same time but just didn't meet. Thank God they did and now enjoy happy marriages. I had a similar situation with someone who has lived or worked down the street from me three times over ten years, patrolled a building I used to work in, and as a teenager worked at a place I hung out at all the time at 17 and 18. Ours was perpetual bad timing because by the time we meet it was too late for anything, but it did beg the question to me if I had been missing my soul mate so long it was impossible now.

For those of you who love happy endings .... this is one to see.

5.0 out of 5 stars Story about NOT meeting, December 18, 2004
This review is from: 'Til There Was You (DVD)
Gwen and Nick spend their whole lives just missing eachother.

They bump into each other (literally) when they were about 6 years old and over the next 20 years they just miss meeting eachother. There are so many times that they might of seen each other if only that by the time that they actually do meet each other going for a cigarette at a meeting for people to try to stop smoking that you want to say "finally."

All in all though it is a very good movie and Dylan McDermott and Jeanne Tripplehorn are both excellent as the older Nick and Gwen and Sarah Jessica Parker is also very good as Nicks girlfriend Francesca a washed up former television star whom everybody thinks is dead.

5.0 out of 5 stars What's Up W/Previous Review(ers)???, September 4, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Til There Was You [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I don't "get" it....previous reviewers panned this movie. I thought it was touching, inspiring, tough & honest. Great acting! Fabulous script! Superb directing! Jaded reviewers. I can tell you that it moved me to tears. Shame on you who are so hard, so jaded, so shallow, that you just couldn't get it (up?)!!! What's up w/you way down people?
