Sweden's Hidden Treasures,
By EriKa "E" (Iceland) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Til We're Dead (Audio CD)
This is a brilliant album done by a brilliant Swedish band. I only found out about them recently myself, thanks to a Swedish friend... but now you, too, can discover the brilliance. Get past the Cardigans, Abba and heaven forbid, Roxette... and discover Sweden's hidden treasures. I love "Tumbling Down" and "On My Side". :)

Best new band in ages...,
By TODD D BROWN (Claremont, CA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Til We're Dead (Audio CD)
Eskobar is a very nice treat after hearing so much screaming on the radio nowdays (System of a down? yech!). Its also a very nice break from the ever so tiring boy band crap as well. This is one of those rare albums that I can listen to from start to finish, absolutely cherishing every song. I want to say that they are a mix between the Beetles and Depeche Mode...but that just doesn't seem fair. They have their own sound that is definately unique. If you like good music, get this album. And if you like this one, hunt down their new album There's Only Now. They are only just beginning....

Beautiful and yet sad,
By "delnaja" (Gothenburg, Sweden) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Til We're Dead (Audio CD)
There're quite many good, really good bands coming from Sweden these days. Not just pop music, like Eskobar here, but almost in every genre.Eskobar's music makes me happy, yet because the lyrics are mostly about sad things, it doesn't get all too positive [that's just annoying, I think]. Balanced, you could say, just like life itself. The music is instantly catchy, melodic and soothing. I have to admit that a part of the reason I like this band is because it's from Sweden, like me. Otherwise I'd probably not have listened to it [I listen mostly to hard rock/metal, you see]. But that doesn't change the fact that this is a heckuva pop album, and if you're into that sort of music you shouldn't hesitate. It'll blow you away!
