More About the Author

A Caribbean transplant, Avril now lives in Stone Mountain, GA. with a tolerant Spousal Equivalent. Together they raise an eccentric daughter who loves reading and school (not so much school anymore). Avril's earliest memories of reading revolve around discussing plot points of Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys with an equally book-minded mother

Always in love with the written word, Avril finally decided to do the writing in August of '09 and never looked back. Spicy love scenes, delicious heroes, and wicked women burn up the pages of Avril's stories, but there'll always be a happy ending; Av remains a believer of love in all its forms.

A lover of cake, the ID Channel and the UFC, Avril writes Erotic and GLBT Romance.

I normally love this author. She manages to write a tale that has you totally wrapped up in the character's lives. And this one was no different, just not to the usual degree. You only really felt Remi's emotions in the beginning when she realized she was in danger. Czion's emotions you felt when he was having difficulty accepting the mating. I never really felt Jason's emotions in this one. Until the end when he found out who actually killed his brother, which was the whole reason that he kidnapped Remi. The only thing I did not like about this book is how easily accepted Jason was into the mating. He did after all kidnap the heroine. Then they all find out that Remi, Jason & Czion are all triad mates. Okay, I get that. But Jason is a skin-walker and can take the shape of any person. So he takes the shape of Czion and then kidnaps Remi. I get that too. What I don't get is that it was never really addressed. Yeah, Czion balked at the idea of mating Jason, but not for the reason that he betrayed Czion and Remi. More for the reason that Czion has never been with a man. That is the biggest hang-up in the story. Not the fact that one of the Triad tried to kill another of the Triad and wore the other Triad members face to do it. And then a third way thru the book you find out that Remi had never actually been on the plane and therefore was not in the plane crash that killed her bodyguards. Why wasn't Jason claiming his innocence, of causing the plane to crash, from the very beginning?
