4.0 out of 5 stars My First Read by Gould was Very Good
This book proves to be very interesting and a true page turner, no matter how tired I become. The book is a bit predictable, but enjoyable and a refreshing fantasy for a love story. It's nice to be able to flashback to a younger day and be reminded of what it felt like to have a steamy physical attraction to a new love.

2.0 out of 5 stars Trite Story with little appeal
This is my first reading of a Judith Gould novel. I must say I was very disappointed given some of her past reviews from reputable sources. The story line is flat and unless you are into restoring old houses, very boring. The female protagonist is poorly developed. This is my first reading of a Judith Gould novel. I must say I was very disappointed given some of her past reviews from reputable sources. The story line is flat and unless you are into restoring old houses, very boring. The female protagonist is poorly developed. The reader learns very little of her "being" since the main focus is on her long limbs and magenta-streaked hair. The author spends far too much time describing her ultra expensive cashmere clothing and furniture rather than her personality. The male counterpart comes across as more down-to-earth, but he is full of cliches. In a nutshell, this is a boring story, over descriptive and predictible right down to the very end.

4.0 out of 5 stars Heart-warming good read that has you flying through it., September 13, 1999

Being familiar with all of Judith Gould's other lengthy works, I'm definitely a fan of hers. This is probably her shortest book, but the real locations vs. operatic drama and epic scale are much more "now" and the characters more down-to-earth. It's a love story that's kind of a spiritual rebirth. I can't wait for her next novel! Judith Gould is my absolute FAVE!

3.0 out of 5 stars Steamy sex scenes, August 14, 2000
I found this a very quick, easy read with enough details to hold the attention. Why oh why are these heroines ALWAYS blessed with mile long legs and divine figures-God ,it's depressing just how perfect they are while the hero sounds as though he'd put Adonis in the shade! Must admit that the sizzling sex scenes stirred up the old heartbeat and brought back memories of wonderful, passionate times so perhaps it's worthwhile absorbing the rather trite story and just thoroughly enjoy the spicy bits!

2.0 out of 5 stars It's ok ..., July 8, 2006
I very rarely rate a book a two-star ~~ simply because if it keeps me entertained, I figure the author has done his/her job well enough. This book ~~ I have no idea why I have it in my personal library and am amazed that I even finished it. Like one reviewer said, it really is trite and forgettable.

I know there are readers out there that love steamy sex scenes and this book definitely has them. I didn't care for it and frankly, it turned me off since I prefer to have those things left to the imagination without every breathing detailed to the last sigh. And the storyline is trivial and old. Woman gets divorced and runs away from the big bad city to the countryside. She decides to renovate a historical house, falls in lust/love with the local architect, who tragically is married to the local heiress who is just mean and cruel to him. Together, they fall in love but the heiress is in the way to their everlasting joy and happiness.

If you like this kind of book, it's definitely a good read for you. If you don't like this kind of book, don't bother.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gould is pure gold, December 31, 1998

This review is from: Till the End of Time (Hardcover)

Leonie Corrinth relishes her lavish lifestyle in Manhattan. Wife of a Wall Street investment banker, Leonie blissfully runs her own antique shop. However, everything abruptly changes when she and her spouse bitterly divorce. Knowing New York City is no longer the same, Leonie decides to flee her acerbic memories and settle in upstate New York.

Leonie plans to restore her soul while renovating an old house. A fender bender speeds up the process as Leonie accidentally runs into the vehicle of architect Sam Nicholson. Though they are instantly attracted to each other, Sam is already married. However, he does agree to help her see her dream turn into reality. As the duo work together, they fall in love with one another. However, he has a wife and she has seemingly insurmountable baggage to overcome, making it unlikely that a lasting relationship can be forged.

TILL THE END OF TIME is a warm romance that demonstrates the restorative powers of love to mend a broken heart. The vigorous, well-written story line is fun to read even though the climax wraps up in too neat of a package. However, the motives, desires, and heartaches of the characters are so fabulously developed within a soul gripping plot that readers will want more works from Judith Gould even as they search for her previous novels.
