Tilly and her mother live in a small village in Scotland. When their landlady wants their cottage back, they find themselves homeless. Then Tilly discovers that the local wild goats are going to lose their home to a developer. Tilly is determined that none of them should end up homeless. Can she save the goats and find a new home for her and her mum?

About the Author

Joan Lingard lives in Edinburgh where she writes novels for both adults and children. Many of her books are set in Belfast, where she lived as a child, including the highly successful Kevin and Sadie quintet. Joan has won many awards including the Sheffield Children's Book Award and the FCBG Award for her novel Tug of War (also shortlisted for the Carnegie Medal). In 1998, Joan was awarded a MBE for her services to children's literature.
