This book was an unauthorised collection of reprinted sketches by Barrie previously published in various London newspapers. It was issued at a time when no copyright law protected works of British authors in America and Barrie quickly disowned this and many other similar books. That it should have been reprinted (whilst the rest of Barrie's proper work remains scandalously out of print) is a travesty.
