I have no clue what the person who rated 4 star is talking about. There are no pins in my mask. The strap is clipped in using a clip. It clicks in place, and stays in place. It is very easy to remove.

The view though is spectacular and I couldnt recommend it more. The low dip in the mask provided me more view to the bottom of the sea while diving. It is so comfortable and so light weight.

Fog is also not an issue if you just do a rinse with baby shampoo.

This is the best mask I have ever used. The view is uninterrupted! 5 stars all the way.

I've been spearfishing for over 10 years and I am in the water on a regular basis. I was in the market for a new frameless mask and was reading reviews in magazines on them. I read about the tilos and purchased one. A few words of advice after purchasing, buy a mask conditioner and mask defog solution. Follow the instructions and you will have minimal fogging problems. It is prone to fogging because it (as with all framess mask's) sit very close to you face. I have absolutely no problems with this mask. The field of view is amazing, I love it. I also have an Atomic Aquatics frameless, but I like the Tilos way better. If your looking for a great mask, look no further.

Finally a mask that I dont have to shave to prevent from leaking. I actually trust this to go into the ocean. It folds flat and is fairly cheap.

Dive masks can run the gamut when it comes to style, features and functionality. Tilos is a recognized brand that includes all types of quality snorkel and scuba equipment. The EXCEL mask is one of their very best designs at a budget price. If you are looking for incredible visibility in a low volume (close to the face) mask this is the one. Even Scuba Diving Magazine rated it a testers choice. Buy with confidence!

Aside from looking like batman when you put it on (its the nose piece), this mask has great vertical and lateral vision limits due to the low profile and large lens. Certified ballistic lens and decent access to the nose make this mask quality. I did some good scrubbing with my orange cream crest toothpaste and the fogging is minimal pre-spit (any mask can and will fog). The strap unclips completely which is nice for cleaning. The only foreseen weakness is that the strap clips on the mask are held on to the mas by a single (maybe 1/4") plastic pin on each side. Happy thus far with my orange cream scented mask!

Simply put, this mask is awesome. The frameless nature is one of the most important attributes. No more frame digging into that spot between your eyebrows, causing you undue distraction underwater. I had a fog problem during the first use, but baby shampoo and toothpaste cleared that right up and it's been great since. The Tilos Excel has a larger field of vision than any other mask I've tried. One word of caution, however. If this mask does not fit your face, then it's worthless in the same way that any mask can be, no matter how expensive or "quality" they say it is. This does not seem to be a common problem though, as the excel fits all my buddies' faces.

Oh yeah, the incredibly low volume is another nice touch.

Disclaimer: This is my first low volume mask, so I can only compare it to my other non-low volume masks. The field of view on this is great compared to my other non-low volume masks. With my other masks before, I could not see my d-rings on my shoulders, whereas with the Tilos I can. The fit is good (asian face here), nothing that knocks my socks off. The black skirt is great for vary sunny conditions as well.

Scuba masks are obviously one of those items that are difficult to purchase site unseen.

Online reviews are a good place to start, but you really won't know for sure if it will work for you until you can actually put it on your face.

I purchased this mask based on the posted reviews but ended up returning it since I could not get a good seal. My face is just a little narrow for this mask and I had a gap at each temple. Still, I gave the mask 4 stars since the build quality seemed very good and I can't fault the mask just because it din't happen to fit me perfectly. Otherwise it seems like a good piece of gear and the frameless design/single lens provide great visibility.

This mask is well constructed and fit great. The field of view is amazing. Most important thing when buying a mask is to purchase dark color frames or you end up with reflections on the glass causing visibility issues.

It's a foggy dive mask; I almost finished quarter of the Mccnet anti fog drop trying to defog it for at least 1 hour, but no chance.

I end up using my old style cheap oval mask which works much much better than this one.

Don't buy it!
