5.0 out of 5 stars Love the Tilty
My 1 year old would not drink from anything but a bottle or an open cup (which was a mess). He would not hold the bottle and could not drink out of any of the sippy cups I tried on the market. This included some with and without valves. My cousin, who is an Occupational Therapist and mom, gave me a set of Tilty cups. My son started drinking from them immediately and...

3.0 out of 5 stars Great for training for a regular cup! Quality is just okay.

I bought a six pack of these cups when my son was a 12 months old. We both loved how easy it was for him to drink out of because he didn't have to tilt his neck way up! I was also amazed how within a few weeks, he was able to drink out of a regular cup without spilling a drop (although he still prefers a sippy).

As much as I like these cups and highly recommend them if you are wanting to transition your little one, they did have some issues. After only a couple months, my son was able to crack several of the lids...probably due to rough usage, but they are a toddler cup and that is what toddler boy's do.

The other problem I had was that the juice I use most (V8 fusion) stained the cups pretty badly. In Tilty's defense, that juice stains just about any sippy I have put it in if I leave it in there more than an couple hours. However because these cups are entirely out of clear plastic, it was very noticeable. It made them look yellow and dirty.

The last draw for these cups for me (in addition to the fact they do dibble)was that my son was able to pop the lids off and would spill the contents everywhere. I am not sure if that would be a concern for many parents or not, but for me I have to stick with cups with screw on lids. =(

My son started drinking from them immediately and within a week, he can hold it and finally drink independently.

Because there is no valve, they spill if left upside down and we had 1 crack after stuffing it in a diaper bag. But I jumped on amazon and got some more immediately. I've purchased a lot of items over the past year on Amazon and this is the first time ANY product has compelled me to write a review. We are so excited that we now only clean Tilty cups and 1 bottle a day. They are by far easier to clean than any bottle. They are great and recommended for anyone with an infant or toddler who doesn't drink from a typical sippy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Sippy Cup Ever, July 6, 2010

I have a 5-year old girl and now 11-month old boy, so we have tried a LOT of sippy cups, toddler cups, ect. I can honestly say that this is THE BEST sippy cup we have ever used and we use it all the time! With my daughter we used sippy cups for a very short period, I never liked them and my daughter had a hard time drinking from them. We used regular cups at meal time and I taught her to drink from a straw before she turned 1. With my son it is much the same, he can use a regular cup and drink from a straw, however it is nice to have this sippy for use at the table and out to eat so I don't have to monitor him all the time for spills. Yes, it does leak if it is upside-down or being shaken as my son will do with it sometimes--that is the caveat of having no valve but it is better for your child. At this point he is only drinking water so it is not a big deal for us at all, and we only drink milk or juice at meals so it will be easy clean-up when the time comes. It's nice that is is dishwasher-safe and so glad it is a safer plastic as well. I do agree with another reviewer, it would be nice to have handles when your baby is younger (removable ones would be great!) but I think this is meant to be more like a regular cup, kind of a transition cup. As our son gets a little older we will likely use this only occasionally but it has been and is well worth our money and I would recommend this for older babies and young toddlers.

My son has a hard time with remembering to tilt the cup all the way back. This cup solved that problem.

Yeah, it drips water but... Hey. It's not a big deal. It's not like we let him run aroudn the living room with cups full of water.

Worth your money. They just came out with new lids for smoothies, slower flow, and travel. Search for them too because those also work great!

My 10 month old son has been drinking out of the Tilty for several months now. Since it's not a spill-proff cup, we had to go slow at first to prevent choking. He got the hang of it quickly and loves drinking from it. The "tilt" is great so that he doesn't have to hold his head back really far. And I like that it's clear so I can see how much he's taking in (that helped prevent choking) and he can easily see me while he's drinking. My son wraps his fingers around the open bottom of the cup to try to hold it himself. This often causes him to turn the cup upside down, or loose his grip. Since the cup is still too big for him to get his hands around on his own, I usually have to hold it for him. I don't mind that part since we limit feeding/drinking to the kitchen table for the most part. I just wish the cup had handles so that he could get an easier grip. When it slips from his hands, there is some spilling, but not much at all. I'm not a fan of the spill-proof cups since they require a baby/child to suck really hard (which could lead to ear infections if your baby is prone to them).

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible, Cheap Construction, January 10, 2010
This review is from: Tilty 2 Pack 7 Oz Ergonomic Design Sippy Cups - 2 Sets (Misc.)
I got this cup for my daughter and she refused to use it! It leaks like crazy, doesn't have a valve to relieve negative pressure. I guess it could be used for older kids that know to put the cup back on the table or other flat surface, but at that age they should be off the sippy cup.
