5.0 out of 5 stars This CD is fabulous!
I was a big fan of Little Texas, and often wondered what happened to the guys when the group broke up.

I am so glad to see Tim Rushlow back in country music. He is a tremendously talented singer/songwriter. Tim has the voice for a heart-wrenching ballad like "I Live" or a up-tempo song like "In the Meantime."

This is an excellent CD,...

3.0 out of 5 stars Solo Debut
Former Little Texas lead singer Tim Rushlow began his solo career on a high note with the enclosed hit single "She Misses Him," a stirring saga of a woman dealing with her husband's Alzheimer's disease. Another heartfelt track on this self-titled debut, "The Package" (in which a man arranges to have gifts delivered to his wife after his death), may be...

This is an excellent CD, highlighted perhaps by the emotional first single, "She Misses Him." I lost my grandfather to Alzheimer's disease just a few years ago, and didn't fully consider what my grandmother had went through during this trying time. It is truly a wonderful song and someday I would like her to hear it.

My advice to everyone is to go out and buy this CD. There is not one song on here that you'll skip over.

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent CD. Well worth the 16 bucks!, March 4, 2001

I like this CD. I liked Tim Rushlow from his days when he was the lead singer for Little Texas. His debut disc is nothing less than spectacular. The best songs on this CD are "Then There's Me", "In The Meantime", "When You Love Me", "Everything To You", "I Live", "The World Turns", and "That's How It's Gonna Be". The two standouts on this record are "She Misses Him", a touching story about a couple who's love continues on in the face of Alzheimer's Disease, and "The Package", another in the long line of touching country love songs. This is the most traditional sounding song on this record. Overall, though it sounds more pop than country, this is an excellent record. Keep it going, Tim.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this Cd!!, July 23, 2002

I was flipping through the radio when I heard "She Misses Him". I stoped my car and cried. It was the most MOVING song! Finally, after hearing WHO the artist was, I rushed out to buy the CD.

"She Misses Him" will always make me cry, but "Everything to You" is my current favorite. It's the perfect song during the courtship of a new romance where you want to know everything!! Perfect!!

My five year old LOVES "American Cars".

I love all the songs, and "It's a Crazy Life" just makes me grin.

Enjoy the cd!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Solo Debut, October 5, 2001
This review is from: Tim Rushlow (Audio CD)
Former Little Texas lead singer Tim Rushlow began his solo career on a high note with the enclosed hit single "She Misses Him," a stirring saga of a woman dealing with her husband's Alzheimer's disease. Another heartfelt track on this self-titled debut, "The Package" (in which a man arranges to have gifts delivered to his wife after his death), may be even better.

Unfortunately, these gems aren't indicative of the album as a whole. "In The Meantime" and "Crazy Life" are hollow slice of life pieces, while the up-tempo romps "American Cars" and "The World Turns" offer plenty of catchy grooves and zero originality. With "I Live," Rushlow (one of the best balladeers in country) reveals that even he can't save a bland power ballad.

Rarely a songwriting contributor to Little Texas efforts, Rushlow has impressively written four tracks on this album (one of which is "The Package"). Hopefully his newfound writing commitment, as well as his recent success dealing with important subject matter, will lead to a more consistent effort next time around.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rising Star - This is an AWESOME CD!, February 28, 2001

I bought this CD, as I have many others, for one song. What I got, instead of a so-so recording with one or two standout tracks, was a fabulous collection of music I'm glad I took a gamble on. "She Misses Him" touches your heart - but "The Package" is probably the real gem on this disc. It'll touch your heart and make you see the power of real, lasting love. I was a big fan of "Little Texas" and I'm so glad to hear Tim Rushlow's voice again. And if these tracks are any indication of his abilities as a solo artist, we haven't heard the last from him, either. This is one great CD!

5.0 out of 5 stars He's on his own and doing great!, April 15, 2001
This review is from: Tim Rushlow (Audio CD)
In case you hadn't caught it, Tim Rushlow used to sing for Litte Texas. I had never been a big fan of their's, so I hesitated to buy this album. After hearing some going reviews, however, I decided to give it a try. Boy, was it a good buy! Only one other CD--Chris Cagle's "Play It Loud"--has affected me this much on my first time listening to it. Starting off with "Then There's Me," you know right away this CD's going to be a hit. "In the Meantime" shows what happens to us whose dreams don't come true. "She Misses Him" is very moving, telling the tale of an old couple--"The Package" is quite similar. "Crazy Life" is made for radio. "American Cars" keeps rockin'. "When You Love Me" and "I Live" both give great romantic lyrics--sung well, I might add. "Everything To You" is my personal favorite, a toned-down version of Mark Will's "Everything There Is To Know About You". "The World Turns" is another beautiful song. The album ends with the fast-paced "That's How It's Gonna Be". Tim Rushlow's talents extend beyond singing, however; he also co-wrote five of the album's songs. This is a great CD that I reccomened you buy right now!

I first heard of Tim Rushlow in 2000, but for some reason never sought out his work. I was reminded recently of the song "She Misses Him" and found his album with the song on it. All the tracks are great! I'm mad at myself for missing his music for all these years.

Few CD have every single song worthy of 5 stars. I can't remember ever purchasing a CD where I loved every single song on it. I can't understand why they all weren't number one hits on the Country Music charts.

5.0 out of 5 stars One Great CD, September 19, 2001

This review is from: Tim Rushlow (Audio CD)
I bought the album for the song "She misses him" which is wonderful, but I believe "Then there's me" is 10 times better. It is just one fun song. The whole cd is wonderful and I just hope Tim doesn't get "lost in the shuffle" with his record company going under.

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME ALBUM, March 24, 2001

I knew many years ago during his many years as the lead singer of LT,that Tim always had the capability to make it on his own,if he ever decided to become a solo performer some day.And as expected,Tim definetly proved me right. His first solo effort, is the most wonderful album by a male solo artist, that I have heard in a very very very long time. From the ballads like "She Misses Him",& the beautiful well performed "I Live", (which by the way I think would be a great wedding song)to the fast-paced "Tim songs"as I call them like "In The Meantime", Tim's voice range is TREMENDOUS!! Congratulations Tim.I knew you could make this long awaited album a major sucess.
