I'm all for this Comics Art Preservation Project, it's a great idea, but the execution must be good too. The dailies in this volume are printed 6,5 x 1,1 inches, approximately, and I know this is going to be a deal-breaker for many collectors. You can enjoy the artwork, but better with a magnifying glass. At least Young's style (or whomever was ghosting for him at this stage) was clean enough that even at this size you don't get the impression of cluttered and crowded panels, as would happen with other artists. And the reproduction is very crisp and clear. Maybe they should have settled for a shorter period of dailies and print them bigger, maybe with an horizontal page layout (check out Vanguard's "Johnny Comet" book guys, or the old Kitchen Sink Press "Li'l Abner" and "Littler orphan Annie" volumes). Oh well, I'm enjoying the book anyway. Now, if somebody would reprint the sundays.
